Autumn Week | Maple Syrup Beauty DIYs

Hello everyone, welcome to another post.

If you didn’t already know, this week is autumn week. If you want to read the previous Autumn Week post, click here.

Todays post is a DIY post. Today i’m going to share with you three beauty DIYs I have found wihch are amazing.

They are perfect for the cold, dark days of autumn. Strangely they both use Maple Sytup. Now I know what you’re thinking, yuk maple syrup in my beauty products, no, maple syrup belongs on my pancakes. Well yes maple syrup is delicious on pancakes, but maple syrup has loads of antiozidants that are perfect for your hair and skin.

I have three DIYs that only take a little preperation, but deliver big results. So I have a face mask, a scrub and a hair mask for you. I did find these on other websites to begin with. They are not my creation. All credit is theirs, and i’ll leave links to each original post at the end.

Here’s the first, a face mask. It’s a wrinkle fighting aloe and maple face mask.

Take one teaspoon of maple syrup and one teaspoon of aloe vera gel. Mix together well. Then simply brush onto your skin using a makeup or food brush, or you can simply massage into your skin using your fingers. After about five minutes it should start to harden. Leave on for about 15 – 20 minutes and rinse off with warm water.

There you have a nice face mask that is easy to make and doesn’t have too many ingredients. It also makes your face nice and glowy, plus it keeps wrinkles at bay, well as at bay as they can be.

Next up is a maple scrub. Scrubs are amazing at getting your face nice and squeeky clean. My favourite scrub has to be the Tea Tree one from The Body Shop, but moving on, heres the maple and oat scrub.

You’ll need three tablespoons powdered oats, one tablespoon pure mable syrup, one tablespoon milk, two drops lemon oil, one drop sweet orange oil.

Here’s what you do.

Warm the milk for 15 seconds in the microwave, make sure not to boil or curdle it. Combine the milk and maple syrup, stir until all the syrup is desolved. Add the oats and leave to stand for 5 minutes. Add the oils and stir again so they’re mixed well. That’s it, an amazing, cheap and easy to make scrub.

Once made, just apply like you would a normal scrub. There is a shelf life for this scrub, so you can’t really keep it for long because of the milk.

That’s the face covered, now let’s move on to your hair.

This one is perfect for dry hair.

For this one you only need a few things, which is why I love DIY’s.

You’ll need, four tablespoons maple syrup, one tablespoon honey, a wide tooth comb, and a shower cap..

All you have to do is. Combine the maple syrup and honey togerher. Microwave for 15 seconds, or until melted enoug so you can stir it. Leave it to cool until it’s cool enough to touch. Apply it to the ends of your hair with a wide tooth comb. Wrap your hair in a shower cap. Just leave it for 20 minutes. After the time is up, just rinse your hair and you’ve got smooth silky hair.

There you go, three easy and simple to make beauty treatments all featuring maple syrup.
As I said at the begining. I got these from varous different websites. you can find all the original posts by clicking on the links below.
