About a month ago now, the lovely people over at Bulldog Skincare kindly sent me a box of their wonderful products. After using them for quite a while now, I thought I would tell you what I thought of them.Bulldog Skincare very kindly sent me, their Original Shower Gel, their Original Hand Cream, their Original Lip Balm, and their Intensive Moisturiser.
The Bulldog Skincare Original Shower Gel, is described as an invigorating shower gel packed full of essential oils, Aloe Vera, and Menthol. The Bulldog Skincare Original Shower Gel is also Paraben free, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate free, and doesn’t contain any artificial colours, synthetic fragrances, or ingreediants from animal sources.
This smells incredible, and is absolutely perfect for those days that you really don’t want to wake up. The smell kind of threw me at first as I wasn’t entirely sure of what it was supposed to smell of. It definitely smells extremely herbal, but to me it smells of a mix of Lavender and Mint. I wouldn’t have thought Lavender and Mint would blend well together but it really does. The texture was unusually strange at first as it was extremely thick, but once I started to apply it to my skin, it turned into the most indulgent, frothy, gel and water mixture which my skin absolutely loved. With the texture being as thick as it is, I kind of thought that it would be a little drying on my skin, but because of all the essential oils and Aloe Vera, it left my skin feeling baby soft, and I didn’t even have to moisturise which was fantastic.
The packaging is your general cone shaped squeezy bottle, but it has a great cap that means it isn’t leaking all over my shelves.
The Bulldog Skincare Original Hand Cream, is described as an indulgent hand cream packed with eight essential oils, Glycerine. Jojoba, and Vitamin E to moisturise dry hands. The Bulldog Skincare Original Hand Cream, also doesn’t contain artificial colours, synthetic fragrances, or ingredients from animal sources.
I’m not the biggest fan of the smell of the Bulldog Skincare Original Hand Cream. I think the mix of the Jojoba and Vitamin E kind of gives it a dead flowers kind of smell, and yes I know that sounds strange.
The texture is incredibly thick, which sometimes means it’s a little hard to get out of the bottle. Because the texture is so thick, the cream itself is incredibly moisturising but not at all greasy. Which is exactly what you want in a hand cream.
The packaging is again, just your average cone shaped hand cream bottle, but again the cap is incredibly strong and clips into place which means that it won’t leak everywhere.
The Bulldog Skincare Original Lip Balm, is described as a moisturising lip balm containing Mint, Candelilla Wax, Caster Oil, and Shea Butter to moisturise dry lips. The Bulldog Skincare Original Lip Balm also doesn’t contain any artificial colours, synthetic fragrances, or ingredients from animal sources.
This absolutely reeks of Mint. I’m not usually a lover of Mint but this is gorgeous, and really reminds me of Mint Rock that you get when you go to the beach.
The texture is a little drier than the lip balms I usually use, but it’s still incredibly moisturising. I do find it a little on the greasier side, but it settles to a very dry and soft cream on my lips that dissolves within a couple of minutes.
The packaging is your usual lip balm twist up tube, but the lid again clips on really securely which stops it from drying out.
The Bulldog Skincare Intensive Moisturiser, is described as a moisturiser that is clinically proven to deliver 24 hours of moisturisation, that is purpose built for men and is packed with eight essential oils, Borage, Almond, and Camenila Oil, to reduce dryness and keep the skin moisturised. The Bulldog Skincare Intensive Moisturiser also doesn’t contain any artificial colours, synthetic fragrances, or ingredients from animal sources.
The smell of this really confuses me as it smells of Lemons, and i’m pretty sure it doesn’t contain any Lemon. I think it has something to do with all the oils contained in the moisturiser.
The texture is incredibly creamy, and went onto my skin extremely easily. I only needed about a Pea sized amount of the moisturiser to cover my entire face. It did feel a little greasy for about a minute once I had applied it, but once it had dried down, it left my face feeling matte but incredibly hydrated and moisturised.
The packaging of the Bulldog Skincare Intensive Moisturiser feels incredibly high quality, as it came in a beautiful glass tub with a metal lid, which looks beautiful sat on my beauty shelves.
Overall I would have to rate the Bulldog Skincare Original Shower Gel an eight point five out of ten, the Bulldog Skincare Original Hand Cream a seven out of ten, the Bulldog Skincare Original Lip Balm an eight out of ten, and the Bulldog Skincare Intensive Moisturiser a nine out of ten.
I was extremely impressed with everything, especially the Bulldog Skincare Intensive Moisturiser, but the Hand Cream wasn’t for me. It just had a strange smell, but my hands absolutely love it.
I was sent all these wonderful products by Bulldog Skincare, but all thoughts, opinions, and ramblings are my own.
