Confessions of a Blind Guy | Things I’m Thankful Of This Year

Sorry for not posting last week, but I was very busy with my YouTube Channel.

For those of you who don’t know, it is my birthday tomorrow, which is the 8th August. On my birthday, I always like to look back at what I have done throughout the past year, and take stock of what I have accumplished.

In this post i’m going to take you along with me, and let you see if I should be thankful for the things I have done in the past year.

The RP Community Page Milestone.

For those of you that don’t know, I run a little community to connect all of the sufferers of my eye condition. My condition is called Retinitis Pigmentosa. I started the community in February 2011, and it has reached to date, 1.905 members. This makes me extremely proud, and i’m thankful because I have managed to help quite a lot of people connect with other sufferers and find research on a cure for this condition.

My Mobility Training.

As many of you may know, in November of 2012, I started and completed my mobility training, so that I was able to properly use a white cane. This makes me proud and thankful because I can finally go out into the world and not have to rely on other people,. Of course I still have my moments of walking into things, who doesn’t?.

MyYouTube Channel.
In April 2013, I created my YouTube Channel. I love it, I create weird videos about TV and my life, and I am thankful for this because it allows me to express myself in ways I never thought possible. It has allowed me to find and connect with some amazing people.

These are just a few things that I am thankful for this year,. Who knows what i’ll be thankful for next year.

I hope you have enjoyed this post, what have you done in the past year, that you’re thankful for, or are proud of? Please let me know down below.
