Event Extravaganza #2 | A Night With Paul Mitchell

Hi all my wonderful readers. I hope you’re all having a fantastic day.

As I said on Monday, this will be the second post in my Event Extravaganza mini series.

If you haven’t already, why not go read Monday’s post before reading on.

A few weeks ago now, I was kind of invited to an event held by the hair care brand Paul Mitchell. Now I say kind of, because I was invited as Jamie’s plus one.

Paul Mitchell, was founded in 1980 by two friends John Paul DeJoria, and Paul Mitchell. They wanted to start a company that would support the success of hairdressers, and provide luxury hair care at an affordable price.

Not only do they offer amazing products at amazing prices, but they also care about the planet. In 1980, they were the first professional beauty brand to announce that they don’t test on animals. Not only do they care for our furry friends, but they also create and use self sustainable products that they still use to this day.

Upon arriving at the very modern and chic Quebec Hotel, we were shown up to the luxurious suite in which the event was being held.

Once we knocked on the door, we were greeted by the lovely Sarah who works for Paul Mitchell.

She invited us in and offered us a glass of Prosecco, and said that we could just wonder around.

She said that they hadn’t had a lot of male bloggers attend their events but they do actually sell quite a few men’s products.

She showed us a few of their men’s products, and she went back to styling Lizi’s hair. There was meant to be a professional stylist, but Sarah was unfortunately let down at the very last minute. Sarah however was doing a fantastic job using all the tricks she had picked up after 8 years of working for Paul Mitchell.

We got chatting about all things hair, blogging, basically a good chin wag with both Lizi, and Kariss, another fabulous blogger we met.

As well as having your hair done, a few of the bloggers got their makeup done by James. James is an incredible makeup artist who works for New CID Cosmetics. All of the women looked gorgeous.

Now obviously i’m a guy so I didn’t get my makeup done haha, I mean, I don’t want to look like Coco the clown ha!

While we were chatting with Lizi, Kariss, and Sarah, a few of the canapes arrived. The first one I had was a really nice fish cake. It was gorgeous but it had a really nice kick to it. The second canape I had was a really meaty spring roll. It was really nice and I could’ve sat and eaten them all night.

After chatting for a little while longer, we decided to leave.

After saying thank you and goodbye, Sarah handed us a little goodie bag.

The goodie bag contained a little something from New CID Cosmetics, and a really nice rose gold round brush. As well as the brush and the makeup, it also contained a gift set full of the new Ultimate Colour Repair range. These new products were what the entire event was all about.

The new range contains quinoa that makes your colour shinier, bolder, and most importantly last for longer.

I will of course be writing a review of these lovely products once I have used them for a little while.

I had an absolute blast at the Paul Mitchell event. I didn’t really know of them to begin with, but I will be checking out more of their products as soon as I can.

Their products are extremely good quality and their prices are a lot cheaper than some other higher end hair care ranges.

I would just like to say a massive thank you to Sarah, James, and Paul Mitchell for having me.

Have you checked out Paul Mitchell? What did you think? What’s your favourite product? Please let me know down below.
