I absolutely love the Spice Girls, as not only are their Songs incredibly catchy, but whenever I hear one it instantly reminds me of my youth. That’s why when I had heard that they were reforming for a UK Tour, I obviously had to get my Hands on some Tickets. Well I went to see them perform last week, and after singing so much that my throat hurt, I thought that I would tell you five of my favourite Spice Girls songs and why I love them.
Not only does it feel like i’m reliving my youth by seeing them perform live, but i’m having a serious case of deja vu, as just like in 1997, they’ve teamed up with Walkers again to find their best ever fan by running a competition across Social Media where you could win a fantastic prize including a pair of Tickets to the last night of their Tour on Saturday the 15th of June at Wembley Stadium, a meet and greet with the girls, five star accommodation, and travel . This competition has now closed.
Anyway, that’s enough of me rambling, here’s five of my favourite Spice Girls songs and why I love them.
The reason that this is one of my favourite songs is because like most people, it was the first song of theirs that I had ever heard and I love the lyrics, especially the Rap part, and yes I know every word, haha! .
The reason that this is one of my favourite songs is because I vividly remember being in my Grandparents living room when I was about seven years old watching them perform it on Top of the Pops. There was actually a Home Video of me singing along to it but it’s unfortunately been lost somewhere along the years.
3. Spice Up Your Life.
The reason that this is one of my favourite songs is because still to this day whenever I hear it it makes me want to dance, shake it to the right anyone?
The reason that this is one of my favourite songs is because not only was it where everyone first saw Geri in her synonymous Union Jack Dress, but it’s also because I have vivid memories of everyone doing the very easy to learn Dance Moves where you basically just had to move your Right Hand in time with the Music.
5. Viva Forever.
The reason that this is one of my favourite songs is because it was their last ever song and I could tell that they were all truly sad about breaking up and going their separate ways. It actually still makes me shed a little tear whenever I hear it.
I have a lot of other favourite Spice Girls songs, but I thought that I would just tell you five of them.
