Five Things I Would Do To My Room If Money Was No Object | Ad

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that i’ve been trying to redecorate my Room for quite a while now. Well because of Money it’s taking a little bit longer than I would like, and I thought that I would tell you five of the things that I would do to my Room if Money was no object.

Anyway, that’s enough of me rambling, here’s five things that I would do to my Room if Money was no object.

A tall rectangular light wooden door with a silver metal handle against a light green wall.

1. Replace the Carpet and Wallpaper.
When I moved into my Room, the Walls had been papered with a type of Patterned Wallpaper called Anaglypta, which for someone who enjoys the way that something feels is terrible as it’s incredibly rough and bumpy yet still strangely spongy. I would love to completely rip it down and re-Plaster all of the Walls so that they’re smooth and then Paint it a nice bright White colour to maximise all of the Light that comes into the Room. I would also really like to replace the Carpet with some gorgeous Parquet Flooring, as I think that it would offset some of the harshness of the White Walls beautifully.

2. Add more Light.

With me being Visually Impaired, lots of Light is very important as it means that I can actually see something. Unfortunately though, the Light in my Room is just a single Bulb, and I would love to replace it with tons of little LED Spotlights as not only will they add a tremendous amount of Light to my Room, but they’ll also be really Energy efficient too.

3. Buy matching Furniture.

Over the years, i’ve managed to acquire various pieces of different Furniture from other Rooms in the House, including my Wardrobe and my Chest of Drawers. So I would love to replace them with similar pieces of Furniture, but with something that actually matches so that my Room doesn’t look like a scene from a Second Hand Furniture Shop.

4. Add more Smart Technology.

I absolutely love Technology, especially anything that makes my Life a little bit easier, and even though I already have an Amazon Echo I would love to make my Room a little bit Smarter by adding a Smart Thermostat, some Smart Blinds, and even a few more Philips Smart Bulbs, as I love being able to control things with my Voice.

5. Add a few more finishing touches.

I think that every Room needs a few finishing touches to make it look great, and I would just like to add a few better quality items, including some Artwork for the Walls, some new Bed Sheets, and even a couple of Plants to add a little bit of greenery to the Room.

There’s a lot more things that I would do to my room if money was no object, but I thought that I would just tell you five of them.

This post was in collaboration with Direct Wood Flooring , but all thoughts, opinions, and general ramblings are my own.

What would you do to your room if money was no object? Do you like smart Technology too? What Plants do you have in your Room? Please let me know down below.

  1. When we move out of here, i definitely want to remodel wherever we end up. Wood floor that flows throughout – like the floor was laid first and then the walls went up afterwards. Open concept, bright paint.
Matching furniture for sure. None of our pieces match EXCEPT all the furniture in the baby’s room.

I like how carpet feels but with a baby and pets, it’s not feasible. Plus I always end up spilling something on it!

  2. I am so wanting to redecorate my room too. Like you I have a complete mismatch of furniture. I hope you get the room of your dreams soon.
