Hi all my wonderful readers. I hope you’re all having a brilliant day
I’m sorry I didn’t post all of last week, but I needed a little break after my London trip.
While being in London, I really noticed, how rude people are.
Now I am aware that, walking around the capital swishing a massive white stick isn’t the best, but I really thought it was going to be easier than it was.
The Friday had to be the worst day for this.
We had decided to visit Covent Garden to do a little light shopping, yeah like that ever happens, haha!
Everything started out well. I was swishing my cane, but it started to go downhill extremely quickly.
Most people were quite accomodating, and even though I hit them with my cane, by accident before anyone asks, they were very apologetic, but some were just down right rude.
There was that one person who had a go at me, and two people that literaly kicked my cane from underneath me.
In a three or four hour period, i must have said sorry, god I hate that word, at least a thousand times.
I’m normally a nice person, and always apologise if I hit someone, or something with my cane.
All of this has lead me to a conclusion and a new policy. I will not say sorry. You have two choices, either get out of my way, or get hit. You can see me, I can not see you.
Yes I know it sounds arrogant and extremely self centred, but i’m sick of apologising, especially when I come across people who go out of their way to get in my way.
Do you have any policies when you’re out with your cane? Do you think i’m right in what I do? Please let me know down below.
