Have You Any Wool? | Woolovers Cashmere and Merino Unisex V-Neck Cardigan

About a month ago now, I was very kindly contacted by Woolovers who asked me if I would like to pick something from their amazing website to review. After a couple of hours browsing, I finally settled on their beautiful Cashmere and Merino Unisex V-Neck Cardigan in Stone Grey, and after wearing it for quite a while, I thought I would tell you all about it.

I’ve never owned anything that was either made of Cashmere or Merino so I was a little unsure what it would feel like, but I have to admit, it’s probably the softest thing I own. Cashmere comes from the Cashmere Goat and is said to be incredibly soft and reminisant of really soft Sheep Wool, and Merino comes from the economicaly influential Merino Sheep which is said to have the most softest Wool, so I knew it would be incredibly soft, but I didn’t think it  would be as soft as it is.

I really love the buttons. I’m not entirely sure what they’re made of, but they feel incredibly glossy and feel like enamel. I’m probably wrong, but that’s what they feel like. The button holes do get a little hard to use, but once they’re in they don’t come apart which is good.

It has the perfect thickness. It’s thick enough that it keeps me warm, but thin enough that i’m not boiling, so it’s great to wear all year round.

I was a little worried that the size would be a little too small as they didn’t have it in my size, so I just got it in the largest size possible which fits me perfectly. If anything it’s just a little too long in the sleeves, but I don’t mind as I can always roll them up.

I got it in the Stone Grey version because Grey goes with everything, and I have quite a lot of different colours in my wardrobe, and I wanted it to go with everything, rather than only being able to wear it once. I really like the detailing on the buttons, cuffs, and at the bottom as it makes it look casual but smart at the same time.

The only thing about the Cardigan that I don’t like is the fact that because it’s made out of Cashmere and Merino, it picks up every little bit of dust, hair, and dirt, and because I can’t machine wash it, it looks dirty even though it isn’t, but other than that it’s an incredible Cardigan.

Overall I would have to rate the Woolovers Cashmere and Merino Unisex V-Neck Cardigan an eight point five out of ten. It would have gotten a few extra points if every little thing didn’t stick to it, but other than that I highly recommend buying this, or anything from Woolovers if you’re in the market for some new knitware.
