I absolutely love an Overnight Face Mask, as I love that you can apply them and not have to worry about removing them at a specific time. That’s why when I saw that Kiehls had released a Ginger Leaf & Hibiscus Firming Mask whilst I was out shopping a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.
Here’s what Kiehls say about their Ginger Leaf & Hibiscus Firming Mask.
Feel the firming effects of our indulgent velvety Cream Face Mask. Formulated with Hibiscus, whose Flower is known to close during the Night to preserve its Nectar, our overnight formula revitalises your Skin for smoother-looking Skin instantly. Our hydrating formula with Thai Ginger Leaf works to soften the look of fine lines for a younger-looking complexion.
I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Mango Seed Butter, Shea Butter, Shea Oil, Peony Root Extract, Sweet Almond Oil, Chinese Skullcap Root Extract, Hibiscus Seed Extract, Ginger Leaf Extract, False Daisy Leaf Extract, Geranium Flower Oil, Bitter Orange Leaf Oil, Red Cedar Oil, Lavender Oil, Red Seaweed Extract, Turmeric Root Extract, Green Cardamom, Clary Sage Extract, Moringa Seed Oil, Basil Leaf Extract, and Demass Rose Extract, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and nutty yet ever so slightly biscuity Ginger scent to it that kind of reminded me of the Pixi Glow Mist.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Firming Mask, I thought that it felt really thick and creamy, and was more like a really thick and creamy Day Cream rather than a light and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Face Mask.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from a really thick and creamy Day Cream into a thin and creamy Face Mask that set within a matter of seconds.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, hydrated and a little bit firmer, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant and a little bit younger too.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Plastic Tub with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Kiehls Ginger Leaf & Hibiscus Firming Mask a nine out of ten. I really liked it’s delicious sweet and nutty yet ever so slightly biscuity Ginger scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging. But I think that it would probably suit someone who has more mature Skin than I do better, as my Skin only felt a tiny bit firmer after I had used it.
