Luke Loves Christmas 2014 | The Christmas Tag

Hi everyone, welcome to the first actual post in my Luke Loves Christmas series.

In todays post, I am going to do a Christmas Tag I saw on the amazing Miss Budget Beautys blog.

What’s that I hear you say? Luke, you’ve already done it. Well this is true, I have done it as a video, but I thought I would do it on my blog for those who don’t like to watch YouTube videos. Also, I think some of these questions are different to the video. I could be wrong, don’t quote me on that.

1. What is your favourite Christmas movie?

Umm there’s so many. I can’t just name one, so here’s three. Mary Poppins. I know it’s not really Christmassy themed, but it’s always on around Christmas. Beauty and the Beast, the Christmas one of course. I just love the songs, the story, well everything. Lastly, Elf. Who doesn’t love Elf? The Christmassy story, the characters, ah it’s just heaven.

2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Morning?

Always the morning, who opens Christmas Presents on Christmas Eve? It would be like opening your Advent Calendar in November.

3. Do you have a favourite Christmas Memory?

Yes, haha. One year, I must have been about 8 years old, my parents got me my first ever computer. They went all out, the PC, a table, a chair, games, everything. It turned out the table was one that had the keyboard area in a fixed position. They had also wrapped a few games up and put them under the desk. This is when my middle brother kneeled down to tell me they was there. Forgetting the keyboard didn’t move, he quickly stood up and whacked his head. I don’t know why I remember this, I just do, haha. We did have it on tape, yes tape, but it got lost along the years.

4. What is your favourite festive food?

Is it ok to have two? Well I do. One is pigs in blankets. If you don’t know what they are, they’re mini sausages wrapped in bacon, yum! The second is a bit weird, it’s called Apple Mash. It’s a weird concoction I made up one Christmas. You take mashed potatoes, and you simply add apple sauce.Yes it sounds strange. but I urge you to try it.

5.What was your favourite Christmas gift?

It has to either be the above mentioned PC, or my karaoke machine, yes I was that child, haha. It was a very big, black Alba karaoke machine, with a tape deck. The memories of me singing, jesus, the memories.

6.What is your favourite Christmas scent.

Umm that’s a tricky one. It has to be either, the cold air, I know soppy. The smell of dinner, or strangely the Glade Apple scent. My family, and I always burn that scent at Christmas.

7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?

Apart from cosying up under the duvet with endless films, not really.

8. What tops your tree?

For years it has been a very bright, very glittery, very golden star. We changed it a few years ago though, and it;s now a silverangel.

9. As a kid, what was the one crazy, wacky, extravagent gift, you always asked for, but never recieved?

Umm i’m not freally sure, a cat I think. We already had a cat, but it was a real tom and never came home, so another cat.

10. What is the best part about Christmas for you.

Strangely, family. Some of them irritate the living hell out of me, but that’s family for you. I only get to see some of them at Christmas, so it’s nice to see them.

That my friends, wraps un the Christmas Tag, see what I did there? Seriously though, I hope you enjoyed, and thank you very much for reading.

Merry Christmas.
