It’s Christmas All Throughout The Galaxy | Lush Christmas 2019 Range Fresh Cleanser, Toothpaste Jelly & Lip Scrub

I’ve been absolutely loving all of Lush’s Christmas range this year, because as well as releasing some great Bath Bombs, Shower Gels and Soaps, they’ve also released some really cool products, like a Facial Cleanser, a Toothpaste Jelly and a Lip Scrub. That’s why when I went to Lush Leeds Spa a couple of weeks ago to check out all of their Christmas 2019 range, I `obviously had to stop by their Face Care, Oral Care and Lip Scrub Departments to check out all of the really cool Christmas Face Care, Oral Care and Lip Scrubs that they had on offer. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up a roll of the Buche De Noel Fresh Cleanser, a Tub of the Candy Cane Toothpaste Jelly, and a Jar of the Galaxy Lip Scrub, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what Lush say about all three really cool products.

The Buche De Noel Fresh Cleanser.

When the Weather outside is frightful, your Skin can still feel delightful. Mighty Buche De Noel is packed with festive ingredients including juicy Mandarins, Cranberries and a drop of Brandy to give you that ‘elfy glow. Add a little Water to this blend of Ground Almonds and Kaolin, then work the paste into your Skin to gently buff and brighten. A little Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter ensures your Skin stays soft and hydrated.

The Candy Cane Toothpaste Jelly.

Sweeten up the season with this Toothpaste Jelly packed full of Menthol Crystals to deeply cleanse the Teeth and sooth sore Gums. Carrageenan Extract and Agar Agar give this natural Toothpaste a recognisable texture as you enjoy a refreshing flourish of Peppermint Oil. Enjoy Mistletoe Kisses that will linger, thanks to sweet Stevia.

The Galaxy Lip Scrub.

The countdown for cosmic Kisses is over! We’ve traversed the Universe to discover the secret for the sweetest and softest Lips known to Human Kind and potted it up into this little Jar of Stardust.

In 2009, Astronomers discovered the substance Ethyl Formate at the centre of the Milky Way, and it just so happens this sweet little compound also gives Raspberries their fruity, juicy sweetness. So for a true taste of Space, Raspberry Seed Oils have been fused with Lemon Myrtle and Buchu Oils in a supernova explosion of flavour that’ll send your Taste Buds on a tantalising adventure to a Galaxy far, far away. To prime your Lips ready for orbit, pucker up and let Castor Sugar, Shea Butter and Tolu Balsum soften and sooth. Houston, we have lift off!

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Ground Almonds, Kaolin, Glycerin, Fresh Mandarin, Dried Cranberries, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Brandy, Almond Essential Oil, Vetivert Oil, Cedarwood Oil, and Nori Seaweed, I thought that it had a delicious deep and spicy yet ever so slightly fruity Cake scent to it that kind of reminded me of a massive slice of Christmas Cake.

It’s consistency.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Cleanser, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and stodgy yet ever so slightly gritty, and was more like an incredibly thick and stodgy yet ever so slightly gritty Bowl of Cake Mix rather than a thick and creamy Cleanser.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had broken a little piece off and had mixed it with a little bit of Water, it turned from a thick and stodgy yet ever so slightly gritty Bowl of Cake Mix into a thin and balmy Cleanser with little pieces of grit and fruit in it that spread really easily across my Face. I however wasn’t really a massive fan of that because it also contained little pieces of Cranberries that it sometimes unfortunately got stuck in my Beard.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, bouncy and intensely moisturised, but it also left it looking extremely glowing and radiant for at least half an hour after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s packaging, as this came wrapped in a little piece of Nori Sea Weed that more or less totally disintegrated after I had only used it once.

It’s taste.

I absolutely loved it’s taste, as even though it contained glycerin, Peppermint Oil, Menthol Crystals, Stevia, Agar Agar, and Carrageenan Extract, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly medicinal Mint taste to it that kind of reminded me of if they had blended an entire Packet of Hubba Bubba Strawberry Chewing Gum with an entire Bottle of Mouthwash..

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Toothpaste Jelly, I thought that it felt incredibly soft and squishy yet ever so slightly bouncy, and was more like an incredibly soft and squishy yet ever so slightly bouncy piece of Rubber rather than a soft and watery Toothpaste Jelly.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had dampened my Toothbrush,, had picked up a little piece of it and had started to rub it against my Teeth, it turned from an incredibly soft and squishy yet ever so slightly bouncy piece of Jelly into a thick and frothy Toothpaste that spread really easily across my Teeth.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Teeth, Gums and Tongue feeling incredibly squeaky clean and my Breath feeling super fresh, but it also left them tasting of delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly medicinal Mint for at least ten minutes after I had used it.

It’s taste.

I absolutely loved it’s taste, as even though it contained Castor Sugar, Organic Jojoba Oil, Fair Trade Shea Butter, Cold Pressed Raspberry Seed Oil, Buchu Oil, Lemon Myrtle Oil, and Tolu Balsum, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly creamy Raspberry taste to it that kind of reminded me of a massive slice of Blue Raspberry Cake.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had scooped some out of it’s Jar and had started to rub it against my Skin, it released lots of little shards of oily Sugar all over my Lips that eventually dissolved into a thin and buttery Lip Balm that set within a matter of seconds.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Lips feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, bouncy and intensely moisturised, but it also left them tasting of delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly creamy Raspberry for at least ten minutes after I had used it.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Lush Buche De Noel Fresh Cleanser an eight out of ten, the Lush Candy Cane Toothpaste Jelly a nine out of ten, and the Lush Galaxy Lip Scrub a nine point five out of ten. I really liked the Lush Buche De Noel Fresh Cleanser, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious deep and spicy yet ever so slightly fruity Christmas Cake scent, what it did when I used it , and it’s results, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange thick and stodgy yet ever so slightly gritty consistency or that it’s packaging disintegrated the first time that I used it. I really liked the Lush Candy Cane Toothpaste Jelly, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly medicinal Mint taste, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it was part of their main range. I really liked the Lush Galaxy Lip Scrub, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly creamy Raspberry taste, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it was part of their main range.
