The Call Is Coming From Inside The Bathroom | Lush ‘Cream Bath Oil & Imp-atient Bath Oil

Whenever my Skin is feeling a little bit on the dry side and could do with some added moisture, I love to run myself a nice long Bath and drop in a nourishing Bath Oil. That’s why when I visited Lush Liverpool Spa a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to stop by their Bath Oils Department and check out all of the delicious smelling exclusive Bath Oils that they had on offer. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up the ‘Cream Bath Oil and the Imp-atient Bath Oil, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what Lush say about both delicious smelling products.

The ‘Cream Bath Oil.

When you’re feeling scared and just want to scream, take the time to care for yourself with this Cherry Bakewell scented soother. Allow your horrors to melt away into waters of deep purple and silver shimmer. Made with a base of moisturising Cocoa Butter, this compact Oil is imbued with the comforting qualities of soothing Benzoin, sensual Ylang Ylang and Sweet Almond Essential Oil – all cherry-picked for a delicious Marzipan fragrance.

At times we can feel like we’re featuring in our own scary movie, but looks can be deceiving, this one’s a softy. So drop your Mask and deposit this luxurious Bath Oil into hot Water and allow the Butter to unfurl, leaving your Skin soft and hydrated.

The Imp-atient Bath Oil.

On those days when you’re feeling impish and can’t shake the chip on your Shoulder, quieten your bugbears with this appeasing Cocoa Butter Bath Oil. Rose Absolute restores and renews your sense of balance, while Pink Pepper gives your bad attitude a kick up the backside, bringing you back down to earth. Cleansing Cistus Oil adds a honeyed fragrance, sweetening your mood and cleansing your Skin. As this candied pink Oil dissipates, your mood melts away. Step out of the Bath empowered by your emotions and ready to face the day.

The ‘Cream Bath Oil.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Ylang Ylang Oil, Benzoin Resinoid, Almond Essential Oil, and Activated Charcoal, I thought that it had a delicious rich and creamy yet ever so slightly floral Marzipan scent to it that kind of reminded me of their Snowcake Soap and Perle De Sel Bath Bomb.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once it hit the Water, it slowly started to melt before releasing streams of beautiful deep Purple and Silver Lustre all over the surface of the Water that eventually blended with the Oils to turn my entire Bath a gorgeous deep shimmering Purple colour.

It’s results.

I really liked it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft and intensely moisturised but not at all greasy, but it also left it smelling of delicious rich and creamy yet ever so slightly floral Marzipan for at least half an hour after I had used it.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Cistus Oil, Rose Oil, Pink Pepper Oil, and Activated Charcoal, I thought that it had a mouthwatering fruity and floral yet ever so slightly spicy Raspberry scent to it that kind of reminded me of really fizzy Raspberry Soda.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once it hit the Water, it slowly started to melt before releasing streams of beautiful deep Pink all over the surface of the Water that eventually blended with the Oils to turn my entire Bath a gorgeous pale Pink colour.

It’s results.

I really liked it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft and intensely moisturised but not at all greasy, but it also left it smelling of delicious mouthwatering fruity and floral yet ever so slightly spicy Raspberry for at least two or three hours after I had used it.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Lush ‘Cream Bath Oil an eight out of ten and the Lush Imp-atient Bath Oil a nine out of ten. I really liked the Lush ‘Cream Bath Oil, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious rich and creamy yet ever so slightly floral Marzipan scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I would have just liked it’s scent to have lasted on my Skin for a little bit longer. I really liked the Lush Imp-atient Bath Oil, as I absolutely loved it’s mouthwatering fruity and floral yet ever so slightly spicy Raspberry scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it was a little bit easier to get hold of as i’ll definitely be buying more of them very soon.

  1. I enjoyed reading this post. We don’t have Lush stores here in the states, so it’s nice to learn about the different products you have over there.

  2. I haven’t been to Lush for ages but definitely will be making a visit after reading this post – I hope they have them in my local one! Love the design of the second one – I think it’s cute!

  3. I love the sound of some of the scents! These have some interesting ingredients, too. I’d never even heard of Benzoin Resinoid before. I’ll have to pop in store the next time I’m in town as I haven’t been in eons. Great write-up!

  4. I love bath oils! I used to use them all the time but everyone kept complaining that it leaves the tub too slippery
