Once I caught A Fish Alive | Lush Easter 2018 range

As you probably already know, I absolutely love it whenever Lush releases one of their limited edition ranges. That’s why when I had heard that they had released their Easter 2018 range, I obviously had to pop down to my local Lush store and check everything out. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up the April Showers Bath Bomb and the Poisson D’Avril Bubble Bar, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what Lush say about both delicious smelling products.

The April Showers Bath Bomb.

For your own little April Showers, or rather Baths, drop this fizzer into hot Water and clear your cloudy Skies with Cedarwood and Cypress Oils. As the softening Fair Trade Cocoa Butter Raindrops melt away, Tonka Absolute comes out to play with fresh Violet Leaf Absolute.

Drip, drip, drop.

When your mood is cloudy.

This pretty Bath Bomb.

Will brighten the day.

The Poisson D’Avril Bubble Bar.

It’s no joke that this little Fishy will help to banish the Winter blues. Warming Cinnamon Leaf and spicy Black Pepper Oils sweep away any lingering chills. If you have a chip on your shoulder or a Fish on your Back, crumble this Bubble Bar full of Neroli Oil into running Water to feel bright and uplifted. Woody Oakness Absolute gently cleanses Skin and grounds scattered minds amongst bright Orange bubbles. Le poisson, le poisson, how you’ll love le poisson.

The April Showers Bath Bomb.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Cedarwood Oil, Violet Leaf Absolute, Cypress Oil, and Tonka Absolute, I thought that they all blended together to create a sweet yet grassy Violet scent that kind of reminded me if they had blended their Polyamorous Bath Oil with the grassy notes of their Plum Rain Shower Gel.

What it did in my Bath.

I absolutely love what this did in my Bath, as once it hit the water, it fizzed and hissed for a good couple of minutes before releasing streams of gorgeous creamy White all over the surface of the Water that eventually turned my bath a gorgeous milky white colour. Then after about ten minutes of it fizzing, specks of Purple and Pink started to appear all over the surface of the Water, and eventually blended together with the milky White to turn my bath a beautiful pastel Lavender colour.

It’s results.

I really liked it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft because of all the different types of Oils, but it’s gorgeous sweet and grassy Violet scent also lasted on my Skin for a good couple of hours after I had gotten out of the Bath too.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Black Pepper Oil, Cinnamon Leaf Oil, Oakmoss Absolute, and Neroli Oil, I thought that they all blended together to create a bright and zesty yet earthy Lemon scent that kind of reminded me of if they had blended their Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter with their Guardian of the Forest Bath Bomb.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had crumbled some under some running water and had let my Bath fill all the way to the top, it eventually filled my Bath with beautiful sparkling Red bubbles that made it look like I was Bathing in a Bed of Clouds at sunset.

It’s results.

I really liked it’s results, as even though it was only a Bubble Bar, it did leave my skin feeling extremely silky soft and smelling of delicious bright and zesty yet earthy Lemon scent for a good couple of hours after I had gotten out of the Bath.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Lush April Showers Bath Bomb an eight point five out of ten, and the Lush Poisson D’Avril Bubble Bar a nine out of ten. I really liked the Lush April Showers Bath Bomb, as I really liked it’s delicious sweet but grassy Violet scent, what it did in my Bath, and it’s results, but I would have loved it to have smelt a little bit stronger and for it to have been a little bit more moisturising. I also really liked the Lush Poisson D’Avril Bubble Bar, as I absolutely loved it’s bright and zesty yet earthy Lemon scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I again would have loved it to have been a little bit more moisturising, as even though it left my skin feeling incredibly silky soft, I did have to use quite a lot of Body Lotion after I had used it.
