As some of you probably already know, I absolutely love relaxing with a good Face Mask, especially with one of the ones from Lush. That’s why when I popped into Lush Leeds Spa a couple of weeks ago, I decided to treat myself to a new one, and after checking them all out, I eventually picked up the Lush FOMO Jelly Face Mask. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.
Here’s what Lush say about their FOMO Jelly Face Mask.
There will be no fear of missing out on great Skin with this little beauty. Gentle Calamine Powder calms and soothes while Rose Absolute balances for enviably clear Skin. A touch of bright Neroli evens Skin tone and will have you feeling fine in no time.
To use, simply pinch off a piece of the mask and work to a paste between clean, dry Hands. Apply to the Face and let it work it’s magic for 5 to 10 minutes. Wash off with warm Water or with a Cloth .
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Calamine Powder, Neroli Oil, and Rose Absolute, I thought that it had an extremely overpowering powdery floral scent to it that kind of reminded me of dead Roses.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Jelly Face Mask ,I thought that it felt incredibly wobbly and slimy, and just felt like a massive block of squishy and rubbery Jelly. But after I had used it a couple of times, it actually started to grow on me, as it being a massive block of Jelly meant that I had full control on exactly where it went.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had swiped some of it across my Face, it turned from a block of incredibly wobbly and slimy Jelly into a thin and watery Face Serum that was really easy to spread across my Skin. I also really liked that after I had left it to set for a couple of minutes, that all of the Oil turned into a thick and powdery Face Mask which meant that I couldn’t actually move my Face.
To use it, it said that you had to pinch off a piece of the Mask, work it to a paste between dry, clean Hands, apply it to the Face, and leave it for 5 to 10 minutes to work it’s magic. But I found that the best way to use it was to take the entire Mask out of it’s tub, and swipe it across my Face like a Facial Soap.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Face feeling incredibly clean, soft and matte, but it also left it looking really plump and glowing for hours after I had used it.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Lush FOMO Jelly Face Mask an eight out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s strange wobbly and slimy Jelly consistency, what it did when I used it, and that it left my Skin feeling and looking so nice, but I unfortunately just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s extremely overpowering powdery floral Rose scent.
