Urgh! He Slimed Me! | Lush Halloween 2018 Range

As you probably already know, I absolutely love it whenever Lush releases anything new. That’s why when I had heard that they had released their Halloween 2018 range, I obviously had to pop down to my local Lush store and check everything out. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up the Bewitched Bubble Bar, a bottle of the Ectoplasm Shower Scream, and a tub of the Ectoplasm Solid Perfume, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what Lush say about all three delicious smelling products.

The Bewitched Bubble Bar.

After a busy day whizzing around on a Broomstick, run a Bath, crumble this lucky little Cat under the Water and ground yourself with spicy Olibanum. Let superstitions go and allow yourself to be spellbound by uplifting Bergamot oil as you twitch your Nose and breathe in this familiar Blackberry scent. Whether in this life or one of the other eight, you’d be a fool to let this pass you by!

The Ectoplasm Shower Scream.

When you’re feeling a bit disembodied and need to return to the Land of the living, get in the Shower with this luminous Shower Gel. Benevolent lathers of conditioning Almond Oil and reviving Litsea Cubeba help you get back to your corporeal self while Tangerine and Grapefruit Oils ensure you’re in high spirits for the rest of the night and day. The lingering fragrance will make sure you smell alive even after a good exorcise session as refreshing, cleansing and skin-brightening Grapefruit and Tangerine Juices enable you to slip back into the physical world.

The Ectoplasm Solid Perfume.

Leave behind those poor unfortunate Souls; massage on to the hot points and let skin-crawling Citrus sizzle from your Pores to haunt all who cross your path.┬áZesty Grapefruit Oil clears the cobwebs of your mind, while it BOO-sts your mood. If you’re bothered by things that go bump in the night, Tangerine Oil is your ghoul-busting go to.

The Bewitched Bubble Bar.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Cornflower, Bergamot Oil, and Olibanum Oil, I thought that it had a sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly musky Blackberry scent to it that kind of reminded me of Black Midget Gems.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had crumbled some under some running Water and had let my Bath fill all the way to the top, it eventually turned my Bathwater a beautiful shimmering Black colour and created so many Black Bubbles that made it look like I was bathing in a Sea of Clouds at Night.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft and moisturised, but it also left it smelling of delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly musky Blackberries for hours after I had used it.

The Ectoplasm Shower Scream.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Almond Oil, Tangerine Water, Tangerine Oil, Tangerine Juice, Grapefruit Juice, Fine Sea Salt, Grapefruit Oil, and Litsea Cubeba Oil, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly biscuity Orange scent to it that kind of reminded me of Marmalade topped Shortbread.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Shower Cream, I thought that it felt really thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy, and was more like a thick and balmy Shower Gel rather than a thick and creamy Shower Cream.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Shower Gel into a thick and creamy Shower Cream that spread really easily across my Skin.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, moisturised and bouncy, but it also left it smelling of fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly biscuity Oranges for hours after I had used it.

it’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical plastic Bottle with a clickable lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Organic Jojoba Oil, Organic Caster Oil, Candelilla Wax, Tangerine Oil, Grapefruit Oil, and Litsea Cubeba Oil, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly fizzy Tangerine scent to it that kind of reminded me of Orangeade.

It’s longevity.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of how long it lasted on my Skin, as even though it smelt really strong when I had first applied it, I found that it’s delicious scent had totally disappeared within about an hour and a half of me wearing it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a very small circular Glass Jar with a Plastic screw top lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Lush Bewitched Bubble Bar an eight point five out of ten, the Lush Ectoplasm Shower Scream a nine point five out of ten, and the Lush Ectoplasm Solid Perfume a six out of ten. I really liked the Lush Bewitched Bubble Bar, as I absolutely loved it’s sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly musky Blackberry scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I did think that it was a little bit small for it’s price as I only managed to get a total of two Baths out of it. I really liked the Lush Ectoplasm Shower Scream, as I absolutely loved it’s fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly biscuity Orange scent, it’s thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I did find that I had to use quite a lot of it because of how thick it was. I also really liked the Ectoplasm Solid Perfume, as I absolutely loved it’s fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly fizzy Orange scent, and it’s packaging, but I really didn’t like that it only managed to last on my Skin for an hour and a half.
