The Clarity Of Good Skin | Lush Just To Clarify Jelly Face Mask

As you probably already know, I absolutely love relaxing with a good face mask, especially with one of the one’s from Lush. So when I got talking to one of the wonderful staff members at Lush White Rose a couple of weeks ago, who very kindly asked me if I would like to try out a little of their Just To Clarify Jelly Face Mask, I of course said yes, and after a good five minutes of us both talking, I eventually bought myself a little tub. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

A circular piece of vibrant Orange coloured Jelly with some black pieces of Bamboo Stem running through it, on a white background.

Here’s what Lush say about their Just To Clarify Jelly Face Mask.

  • Enzymic Papaya Juice brightens.
  • Bamboo Stem exfoliates.
  • Grapefruit and Bergamot Oils lift your mood.
  • Fresh Orange Juice perks you up.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as I thought that it smelt like a packet of Orange Custard Cream Biscuits. I also really liked that it reminded me of the Thanks Dad Soap from the Father’s Day 2016 range.

It’s consistency.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s consistency, as with this being a Jelly Face Mask, it was just like a massive block of Jelly. But after I had used it a couple of times, I actually grew to rather like it, as it being a Jelly meant that I had full control on exactly where it went. I also wasn’t really a fan of it’s gritty texture, as because this also contained Bamboo Stem, it had tiny fine pieces of Bamboo embedded into the Jelly, which got everywhere whenever I touched it.

What it did when I used it.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of what this did when I first used it, as it pretty much just felt like I had a face full of gritty oil. But after I had used it a couple of times, it actually started to grow on me. I also really liked that even though it felt incredibly strange and didn’t actually set, that it didn’t drip anywhere when I used it.

When I was in store, the lovely staff member who showed me this, said that to use it I had to tare a little bit off, massage it into a paste, and then apply it to my skin. But I found that the best way to use this, was to take it completely out of it’s tub, and swipe it across my face like a Facial Soap.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my skin feeling incredibly soft and moisturised, but because it contained the Bamboo Stem, it also managed to make my skin look a lot brighter, and feel much smoother. I also really liked that this managed to calm down a couple of blemishes that I had, as I thought the fact that it created so much oil would actually break me out.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Lush Just To Clarify Jelly Face Mask an eight point five out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s rich Orange Biscuit scent, it’s extremely weird gritty Jelly consistency, what it did when I used it, and that it left my face looking and feeling so good, but I did find the fact that it was a Jelly a little hard to comprehend.
