My Beard has been feeling really dry, brittle and itchy lately, and I have a strong suspicion that it has something to do with the Beard Wash that i’ve been using. That’s why when I saw that Lush had released a Kalamazoo Beard & Facial Wash whilst I was out Shopping a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it. .
Here’s what Lush say about their Kalamazoo Beard & Facial Wash.
Keep things bright and bushy with this creamy Wash for furry Faces. Fresh Pineapple Juice is full of Enzymes to cleanse the Skin and zap away dirt whilst Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil and Cupuacu Butter will leave your Beard soft and strokeable. Simply scoop some out of the Pot and massage on to your Beard and Face, rinse off and pat dry!
I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Glycerin, Almond Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Fresh Pineapple Juice, Organic Jojoba Oil, Cupuacu Butter, Lime Oil, Brazilian Orange Oil, and Olibanum Oil, I thought that it had a delicious sharp and zesty yet ever so slightly fruity Pineapple scent to it that kind of reminded me of the smell of Pineapple Kitchen Cleaner.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Beard & Facial Wash, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Cleanser rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly creamy Beard & Facial Wash.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Beard, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Cleanser into a thick and oily yet ever so slightly balmy Cleansing Oil that spread really easily through my Beard
I really liked it’s results, as not only did this leave my Beard and the Skin underneath and around it feeling incredibly silky soft, squeaky clean, bouncy and hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely shiny and much healthier for hours after I had used it.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Black Plastic Tub with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Lush Kalamazoo Beard & Facial Wash a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious sharp and zesty yet ever so slightly fruity Pineapple scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it smelt a little bit more of Pineapple as it’s scent didn’t really linger in my Beard for that long.
