That Behind Every, Great Man. There Had To Be A, Great Woman! | Lush Mothers Day 2018 range

As you probably already know, I absolutely love it whenever Lush releases one of their limited edition ranges. That’s why when I had heard that they had released their Mothers Day 2018 range, I of course had to pop down to my local Lush store, and check everything out. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up the Lemon Zest Soap, the Incredible Mum Bath Bomb, and the Citrus Are Doing It For Themselves Marbled Bubbleroon, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what Lush say about all three delicious smelling products.

The Lemon Zest Soap.

When life gives you Lemons, make bubbles! Refresh yourself with this brightly scented Soap filled with Lemon Myrtle Oil and fresh Lemon Peel. Inspired by fluffy homemade Lemon Meringue Pie, Rosewood Oil warms and Lemon Oil brings rays of light into the shower. So let it stand proud on the side of the bath or sink ready to bestow it’s sunshine scent to all that wash with it.

Part of a new four part floral collection featuring 3D printed designs, these Soaps look as good as they feel. This Soap has been designed to stand up on it’s edge making it easy to grab, and their lasting perfume means they’re a joy to use from the first moment until the last.

The Incredible Mum Bath Bomb.

We all know our Mum is a superhero! After all the years of getting up early to make your packed lunches, helping you with homework, being there when nobody else was and knowing exactly the right time to appear with Chocolate, Mum deserves something really incredible. When she feels stretched thin, why not treat her to a hot bath of mood-brightening Bergamot and Ylang Ylang Oils. A splash of Orange Flower Absolute will have her raring to go and back to full power in no time! She’s more than cape-able of running her own bath, but how about you do it for her?

The Citrus Are Doing It For Themselves Marbled Bubbleroon.

For a bath others will drool over, simply crumble this Lemon and Grapefruit Oil Bubbleroon under running water. Mouth-watering bubbles of Lime and Lemon Myrtle Oils will spring forth, refreshing your skin and lifting the spirits as the Sun sets into your bath. Murumuru and Fair Trade Shea Butters melt and swirl, softening skin. Tart and sweet to the Nose, this Citrus Bubbleroon will leave you feeling revived and wanting more!

The Lemon Zest Soap.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Lemon Oil, Fresh Lemon Zest, Rosewood Oil, Lemon Myrtle Oil, and Almond Oil, I thought that they all blended together to create a delicious fresh and zesty Lemon scent that kind of reminded me of a Lemon Meringue Pie fresh out of the oven.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had splashed a little bit of water onto it and had started to massage it into my skin, it started to lather up more or less instantaneously and created loads of thick and creamy suds that felt as light as air.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my hands feeling squeaky clean, but because it also contained Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Organic Caster Oil, and Murumuru Butter, it also made my hands feel as if I had smothered them in a luxurious and extremely thick Hand Cream straight after I had washed them. I also really liked that it’s delicious and incredibly strong Lemon scent lasted on my Hands for hours after I had washed them.

It’s scent.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Bergamot Oil, Orange Flower Absolute, and Ylang Ylang Oil, I thought that they all blended together to create a subtile neutral scent that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever  you first walk into a Spa.

What it did in my bath.

I really liked what this did in my bath, as once it hit the water, it fizzed and hissed for a couple of seconds before releasing streams of beautiful vibrant Orange all over the surface of the water that eventually turned my Bath a gorgeous pastel Orange colour. I also really liked that this was an extremely slow fizzer, as it took quite a long time to dissolve, and that the paper Cape floated on the surface of the water making it look like a Superhero was flying over my Bath.

It’s results.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s results, as I thought that it left my skin feeling a little bit on the dry side. I did really like that it’s subtile neutral Spa like scent lasted on my skin for hours after I had gotten out of the bath though.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Lemon Oil, Grapefruit Oil, Lime Oil, and Lemon Myrtle Oil, I thought that they all blended together to create a delicious fresh and zesty almost fizzy Citrus scent that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you open a bottle of Sprite.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had crumbled some under some running water and had let my bath fill all the way to the top, it eventually filled my bath with lots of silky soft burnt Pink bubbles that made my bath look like I was bathing in a mass of clouds at sun set. I also really liked that because it contained Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Murumuru Butter, and Fair Trade Shea Butter, that it left a layer of silky water directly underneath the mass of gorgeous smelling bubbles.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my skin feeling incredibly silky soft and moisturised because of all the different kinds of Butters, but it’s delicious fresh and zesty almost fizzy Citrus scent also lasted on my skin for a good couple of hours after I had gotten out of the bath too.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Lush Lemon Zest soap a nine out of ten, the Lush Incredible Mum Bath Bomb a six out of ten, and the Lush Citrus Are Doing It For Themselves Marbled Bubbleroon a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved the Lush Lemon Zest Soap, as I loved it’s delicious zesty yet creamy Lemon scent, what it did when I used it, and that it left my hands feeling so nice. But I did notice that it tended to drip all over my windowsill after I had finished using it. I did like the Lush Incredible Mum Bath Bomb, as I really liked it’s subtile neutral Spa like scent, what it did in my bath, and that it’s scent lasted on my skin for so long. But unfortunately I just didn’t think that it had a strong enough scent to make me want to buy it again. I also absolutely loved the Lush Citrus Are Doing It For Themselves Marbled Bubbleroon, as I absolutely loved it’s fresh and zesty almost fizzy Citrus scent, what it did in my bath, and that it left my skin feeling so nice. But I did think that it was a little bit on the small side, as I only managed to get a total of two baths out of it, and that I wasn’t really a massive fan of the fake icing that they had added to the top of it as it always felt incredibly wet.
