Spring Has Sprung | Lush Spring 2017 Releases

As you probably already know, I absolutely love it when Lush releases anything new. That’s why when I had heard that they had released their Fathers Day 2017 range, along with a few other interesting products, I of course had to pop down to my local Lush store and check everything out. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up the Stairway To Heaven Soap, the Think Pink Bath Bomb, the Metamorphosis Bath Bomb, and the Yellow Submarine Bath Bomb, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what Lush say about all four products.

The Stairway To Heaven Soap.

There’s no need to wonder, this all star line-up of Bergamot, Star Fruit, and Rose, is sure to have you rocking out in the bathroom!

Uplifting Bergamot and Cananga Oils will give you the X factor, whilst soothing Rose Absolute adds a mellow note to your suds to keep you chill.

So whether it’s Air Guitar riffs, power ballad blasting, or harmonic orchestra humming that rocks your world, this cleansing remix is sure to get your motor running.

The Think Pink Bath Bomb.

Think reels of fabulous Fuchsia, think streams of Rose coloured ink, think ribbons of Tonka rich water, think Funny Face, Vogue, and think Pink!

Slip into something more fabulous, as a core of sweet Magenta unfolds like fine fabric into a most stylish bathing experience. Softening Cornflower and luxurious Vanilla combine in clouds of fragrant foam to give you a sensual and softening embrace. Allow sunny Caramel top notes to carry you away on an air of sophistication. Lie back, relax, and dream of Hollywood.

The Metamorphosis Bath Bomb.

A symphony of darkness and light, this intensely rhapsodic bomb will release comforting tranquil Black Pepper and Myrrh Resinoid to cleanse and uplift your soul. Release into warm water, and as the darkness of night fizzes away, a warm Cinnamon sunrise of Orange, Pink, Yellow and Green bursts into life.

Break free of the old, and step into a bright new day.

The Yellow Submarine Bath Bomb.

Why take a Plane, when you can take a Submarine? Start off in the hustle and bustle of the city, submerge, let the waves wash over you, and wake up on a tropical island, with Coconut scent gently blowing through the Trees. A cocktail of Brazilian Orange Oil, Lemongrass, and Coriander Seed Oil, will enliven the senses, and transport you to sunny shores until Pink and Yellow sunsets ground you in the most spectacular bath.

What I thought of all four products.

The Stairway To Heaven Soap.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as for some strange reason, it’s mix of Bergamot, Star Fruit, and Rose Absolute, all blended together to create a really nice rich and incredibly powerful Violet scent, that filled the entire room whenever I used it.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as unlike quite a lot of Lush’s soaps, this actually lathered up into a really nice foamy lather, and created masses of gorgeous pale Blue Violet scented suds all over my hands.

One thing that I didn’t like about this though, was that because I had chosen to get a block of the Blue side of the Soap rather than the Yellow side, every time I used it, it left little blue puddles all over my bathroom windowsill.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my hands feeling silky soft, it also left them smelling incredible for ages after I had used it.

The Think Pink Bath Bomb.

It’s scent.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of this when I had first smelt it, as I thought that it smelt incredibly sickly sweet, but once I had dropped it into my bath, I instantly changed my mind, as it smelt strangely rather fruity, and kind of reminded me of if they had mixed their Creamy Candy Bubble Bar with a massive bowl of fruit.

What it did in my bath.

I was really impressed with what this did in my bath, as once it hit the water, beautiful streaks of bright vivid Fuschia exploded everywhere, and eventually turned my entire bath water a gorgeous muted Fuschia colour that I thought went brilliantly with it’s sweet yet fruity scent..

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my skin feeling incredibly soft and nourished without having to use a body lotion afterwards, but it’s scent also lasted on my skin for hours after I had gotten out of the bath.

It’s scent.

I instantly loved it’s scent when I had first smelt it, as I thought that it’s mix of Black Pepper, Cinnamon Leaf, and Myrrh Resonoid blended together to create a really nice rich spicy masculine scent, that kind of reminded me of the smell of burning incense when you get a massage at a incredibly high end Spa.

What it did in my bath.

I was really impressed with what this did in my bath, as once it hit the water, it turned the water a really nice frosty Grey colour, and then after a minute or two, released puddles of Pink, Orange, Yellow and Green all over the bath.

It’s results.

I really liked it’s results, as not only did this leave my skin feeling incredibly soft without using a body lotion afterwards, but it’s scent also lasted for hours on my skin once I had gotten out of the bath.

The Yellow Submarine Bath Bomb.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent when I had first smelt it, as it kind of reminded me of a delicious Pina Colada. But once I had dropped it into my bath, the Brazilian Orange Oil, Lemongrass Oil, and Coriander Oil, all blended together to create a really nice but muted fruity masculine scent, that filled my bathroom with a delicious scent within seconds.

What it did in my bath.

I absolutely loved what this did in my bath, as once I had gently lowered it into the water, it slowly rocked around the bath until it sadly dissolved into a very powdery mess at the bottom of my bathtub.

It’s results.

I wasn’t a massive fan of it’s results, as even though it’s scent lasted on my skin for ages once I had gotten out of the bath, it left my skin feeling a little bit on the dry side, and I had to use quite a lot of body lotion to remoisturise my skin.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Stairway To Heaven Soap a nine out of ten, the Think Pink Bath Bomb an eight out of ten, the Metamorphosis Bath Bomb a nine out of ten, and the Yellow Submarine Bath Bomb a seven out of ten. I absolutely loved the Stairway To Heaven Soap, as i’m absolutely loving anything that’s Violet scented at the moment, but I didn’t really like that it left little Blue puddles everywhere once I had used it. I really liked the Think Pink Bath Bomb, but I did think that it’s one of those scents that I could only use every so often, as it did smell incredibly sweet. I definitely think the the  Metamorphosis Bath Bomb has to now be one of my top ten favourite bath bombs, as I just loved it’s rich spicy masculine scent, and what it did in my bath. I did like the Yellow Submarine Bath Bomb, but I think it needs to have a much stronger scent, and to be a little more moisturising for me to want to buy it again and again.

If you would like to check out either the Stairway To Heaven Soap, the Think Pink Bath Bomb, the Metamorphosis Bath Bomb, or the Yellow Submarine Bath Bomb for yourselves, then you can either pop in to your local Lush store, or you can find them online here.

The Stairway To Heaven Soap is part of the Lush Fathers Day 2017  range, which is a limited edition range, so if you do want to check it out, make sure you pick it up before it disappears.
