A Pound Worth Of Great Skincare | Poundland #6 Skincare

I absolutely love discovering incredibly good affordable Skincare, as I don’t believe that having a good Skincare Routine should cost you the Earth. That’s why when I had heard that Poundland had released their #6 Skincare range, I obviously had to pop down to my local Poundland store and check everything out. Well after checking everything out, I eventually picked up the Micellar Cleansing Water, the Anti-Ageing Eye Cream, the Anti-Ageing Derma Serum, and the Anti-Ageing Day Cream, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what Poundland say about all four amazing products.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Glycerin, Pro-Vitamin B5, Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Chamomile Extract, and Vitamin E, I thought that it had a delicious light and delicate yet ever so slightly alcoholic floral scent to it that kind of reminded me of the smell of Aloe Vera Water.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Micellar Water, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy, and was more like an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Facial Serum rather than a thin and watery Micellar Water.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had poured some on to a Cotton Wool Round and had swiped it across my Face, it turned from an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Facial Serum into a thin and watery Micellar Water that set within a matter of seconds.

It’s results.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s results, as even though it left my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean and silky soft, I found that it also left it feeling extremely tight, stripped and dry after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall rounded rectangular Bottle with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

It’s scent.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Glycerin, Sweet Almond Oil, Soluble Collagen, Bladderwrack Extract, Ceramide 3, Vitamin E, Vitamin A, Sunflower Seed Oil, and Flaxseed Oil, I thought that it had a very deep and musky yet ever so slightly floral scent to it that kind of reminded me of the smell of Dead Lilies.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called an Eye Cream, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy Day Cream rather than a light and creamy yet ever so slightly watery Eye Cream.

What it did when I used it.

I absolutely loved what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy Day Cream into a thin and watery yet ever so slightly creamy Eye Serum that set within a matter of seconds.

It’s results.

I really liked it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, bouncy and moisturised, but it also left it looking extremely hydrated, brighter and much younger for hours after I had used it.

It’s scent.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Glycerin, Jojoba Seed Oil, Shea Butter, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Rice Milk Extract, Vitamin A, Sunflower Seed Oil, White Water Lily Extract, and Vitamin C, I thought that it had a very strange deep and musky yet ever so slightly spicy nutty scent to it that kind of reminded me of the smell of Supermarket Spice boxes.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Serum, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Day Cream rather than a thin and oily Serum.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Glycerin, Soluble Collagen, Flaxseed Oil, Palm Oil, Ceramide 3, Caffeine, and Marine Water Microalgae Extract, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and floral yet ever so slightly oceanic scent to it that kind of reminded me of walking through a Garden by the Sea.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Day Cream, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gloopy, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gloopy Night Cream rather than a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly watery Day Cream.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Poundland #6 Micellar Cleansing Water a severn point five out of ten, the Poundland #6 Anti-Ageing Eye Cream an eight point five out of ten, the Poundland #6 Anti-Ageing Derma Serum an eight point five out of ten, and the Poundland #6 Anti-Ageing Day Cream an eight point five out of ten.
