Shine The Spotlight | August 2017

It’s the first Monday of the month everyone, which means that it’s time for another Shine The Spotlight, and as always, i’ve got five amazing blogs to share with you.
First up has to be, Wonky Medicine.
Wonky Medicine, is ran by Hannah, a disabled Doctor, campaigner, and health and equities activist from London. Hannah’s blog is full of posts about her life being a wheelchair user, and being a disabled Doctor. I really like Hannah’s blog, as I love that she shares her emotions, and gives some great tips on being both a wheelchair user, and a disabled Doctor. If you’re looking for a blog full of some fantastic tips from an extremely smart lady, then Wonky Medicine is for you.
Next up has to be, My Low Vision Journey.
My Low Vision Journey, is ran by Brandi, a visually impaired wife and mother from Texas. Brandi’s blog is full of posts about her life being visually impaired, and being a wife and mother to two gorgeous girls. I really like Brandi’s blog, as I love that she shares her experiences with her readers, no matter how embarrassing they might be. If you’re looking for a blog full of posts about being a visually impaired wife and mother, from an amazing lady, then My Low Vision Journey is for you.
Next up has to be, Simply Emma.
Simply Emma, is ran by Emma, a disability consultant, blogger, and Muscular Dystrophy sufferer from Scotland. Emma’s blog is full of posts about her life, her disability, and travelling being a wheelchair user. I really like Emma’s blog, as I think that she gives some fantastic advice on travelling with both a disability, and a wheelchair. If you’re looking for some great disabled travelling tips from a fantastic lady, then Simply Emma is for you.
Next up has to be, Shona Louise.
Shona Louise, is ran by Shona, a nineteen year old chronic illness sufferer from Hull. Shona’s blog is full of posts about just about everything, from beauty and fashion, to her life as a chronic illness sufferer. I really like Shona’s blog, as I love that she writes as if she’s talking directly to you. If you’re looking for a blog about just about everything from an an amazing lady, then Shona Louise is for you.
The last and final blog for this months Shine The Spotlight has to be, The Disabled Foodie.
The Disabled Foodie, is ran by David, a forty year old food lover, and wheelchair user from New York. David’s blog is absolutely jam packed full of restaurant reviews and how accessible they are. I really like David’s blog, as I love his very extensive rating system that includes how accessible somewhere is, and whether they have Braille menus or not. If you’re looking for some amazing reviews of accessible New York Restaurants from a really great guy, then The Disabled Foodie is for you.
