Shine The Spotlight | Estee Lalonde

The first person I am going to shine the spotlight on is… the amazing Estee Lalonde.
First things first, a little background.

Estee is a UK beauty blogger who is originally from Canada. She decided to make the move to the UK over four years ago, and is loving every minute of it.

Estee also has a YouTube channel, well in fact two. The first, a beauty channel. This channel has many different types of videos, including, tutorials, reviews, monthly favourites and of course outfit of the days.

The second channel. Essie Button Vlogs, which as the name suggest is a vlog channel. This channel also features her partner Aslan. It also features the most adorable little greyhound called Reggie.

Now that i’ve given you a little bit of background on the woman herself, let me move on to the blog.

Her self titled blog, is the hub for any beauty novice or expert. Offering tips, reviews and advice. Don’t worry for those of you who aren’t that in to beauty, Estee also writes other posts too. She writes everything from Fashion and Style to Food, Drink and Decor.

This is not just your average beauty blog. I would really describe it as a lifestyle blog.

Now i’ve told you about the blog. I’ll move on to exactly why I love her.

Estee’s writing is very informal. It reads as if you’re sat in your living room having a nice cup of Tea having a chat with your best friend. Which is exactly what you want when reading a blog. You don’t want a blog that drones on or lectures you. You want one that when you read it, you feel they’re just talking to you, and that’s exactly what you get from Estee’s blog.

I have only been reading her blog for about six months but her blog is firmly placed at the top of my subscription list. If you want to check out Estee’s blog, you can click here..

I hope you enjoyed this post. If you’re reading Essie, please keep up the posts.

  1. I’m write about nail art and tv shows but her beauty blog is one of my favorites too 🙂

  2. I thought the same at first. I loved her blog and videos, I had so much fun getting to know her and just enjoying everything she did.

I obviously don’t feel the same anymore. And it’s not that I don’t like her, I do, but it drives me bananas that she never says when she is paid to talk about certain products and when she’s not. This is important. I want to know if a product is good/bad because I trust the person who is talking about them. If they’re being paid to do that and not telling the world? Well, that changes how I feel about the entire thing. So I kinda don’t read her blog anymore. I used to love it and bought a lot of the things she mentioned but now, not so much. I lost the trust. 🙁
