Shine The Spotlight | June 2016

it’s the first Monday of the month everyone, and you know what that means. Yes! It’s time for another Shine the Spotlight. Which for anyone who doesn’t know, is where I share with you five amazing people, these could be bloggers, YouTubers, Podcasts, or just people i’m loving right now, you have to check out.

First up has to be, I Access VO.

I Access VO, is ran by Brian Fischler and Ed Plumacher, two Voiceover accessibility trainers from New York. I Access VO is a podcast all about Voiceover and accessibility. It has some outstanding episodes of how to use the accessibility features on any Apple products, and is perfect if you’re new to the Apple accessibility universe. I absolutely love Brian and Ed’s personality. They’re hilarious, and extremely down to earth. I love how they poke fun at each other, and if you’re looking for a great podcast all about Apple and their accessibility features, then I Access VO is for you.

Next up has to be, Caroline Hirons.

Caroline Hirons, is ran by Caroline, an aesthetician, Mother, Blogger, and YouTuber from London. If you love beauty, then you’ll probably already know of Caroline Hirons, but for those that don’t, Caroline’s blog is absolutely packed full of beauty posts, from what’s the best cleanser, to what brands she’s currently loving. Caroline has had an amazing career in the beauty and retail industry working for some of the worlds biggest brands, and a few of my favourites, but that doesn’t influence any of her opinions. If she doesn’t like something, she’ll tell you, and her posts aren’t full of long winded beauty jargon. She gets straight to the point. If you want to know anything about beauty, then Caroline Hirons is definitely for you.

Next up has to be, Accidental Hipster Mum.

Accidental Hipster Mum, is ran by Jenny, a former optician, mother of two, and business student from Grimsby. Accidental Hipster Mum is a lifestyle blog full of posts about Jenny’s life, weight loss, parenting, and there’s even a few posts from her lovely partner. I really like jenny’s personality. She’s not afraid to show her vunrable side. If you’re after a blog from an amazing lady, then Accidental Hipster Mum is for you.

Next up has to be, The Em & Khi Show.

The Em & Khi Show, is ran by Mikhela from Miss Budget Beauty, and Emma from It’s Em Channel, two down to earth, hilarious, women, from opposite ends of the UK. The Em & Khi Show is a podcast where both Emma and Mikhela just sit and chat about topics that are on their mind. Their podcast is absolutely hilarious. I absolutely love their personalities, and every time I listen I always end up in stitchess. If you’re after a podcast that you can laugh your arse off at but still covers some serious topics, then The Em & Khi Show is for you.

The last and final amazing blog for this months Shine The Spotlight has to be, Lisa Gourley.

Lisa Gourley, is ran by Lisa, a full time mum of five from Leeds. Lisa’s blog started out as a place for her to share her photography, but quickly evolved into a place for just about everything, including beauty, fashion, food and drink, and of course her life. I really like Lisa’s writing style. It’s just like you’re sat in your living room with a good cup of tea talking to your best friend. If you’re looking for a good all around blog, then Lisa Gourley is for you.

That my lovely friends, brings us to the end of another Shine The Spotlight.
