It’s the first Monday of the month everyone, which means that it’s time for another Shine The Spotlight, but with it being Guide Dogs Week from the 6th to the 14th of October, I thought that I would share five amazing life changing Guide Dogs that I like to follow on Twitter with you.
First up has to be Kika.
Kika, is a beautiful Golden Labrador Retriever owned by Amit, a Diversity and Accessibility Consultant, Motivational Speaker, Writer, Disabilities Advocate, and Dad from London. I really like following Amit and Kika, as I love finding out what they’ve been up to lately, and some of the trials and tribulations that they have with living, working and travelling around a very busy London. I also really like that I can get to see videos of what they’ve been up to lately, as Kika has a Camera attached to her Harness called her Kika Cam.
Next up has to be, Abby.
Abby , is a gorgeous Golden Labrador Retriever owned by Nathan, a Blind Footballer and Vlogger from Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. I really like following Nathan and Abby, as they’ve only just recently qualified together, and I love seeing the process that they’ve been through to become qualified as well as what they’ve been up to lately.
Next up has to be, Skip.
Skip, is a very handsome Golden Labrador Retriever owned by Ellen, a Deaf and Blind Histories and Politics Student from Sheffield. I really like following Ellen and Skip, as I love seeing what they’ve been up to lately, and love hearing about Skip’s really cheeky sense of humour.
Next up has to be, Jazzy .
Jazzy, is a beautiful Golden Labrador Retriever owned by Elin, a Blind Blogger from Belgium. I really like following Elin and Jazzy, as I love seeing what they’ve been up to lately, and love reading about people’s reactions to a Guide Dog in another country.
The last and final Guide Dog for this months Shine The Spotlight has to be, Arnie & Uri
Arnie & Uri, are two adorable Golden Labrador Retrievers owned by Sian, a Guide Dogs Mobility Team User Representative from Cymru. I really like following Arnie & Uri, as I love seeing the contrast between what a retired Guide Dog gets up to after they’ve hung up their Harness, and what a recently qualified Guide Dog gets up to when they’re guiding someone.
That my friends, brings us to the end of another Shine The Spotlight.
