Everyone has been raving about Hydrogel Sheet Masks lately as they’re incredible at hydrating your Skin, but i’ve unfortunately never tried one. That’s why when I saw that Simple had released a Water Boost 5 Minute Reset Hydrogel Sheet Mask whilst I was out shopping a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well I finally used it the other day, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.
Here’s what Simple say about their Water Boost 5 Minute Reset Hydrogel Sheet Mask.
Our Skin goes through a lot every day, which means that we sometimes need to press the Skincare equivalent of a ‘reset button’. That’s easier than ever before with our next-generation Mask made in Korea, where the Sheet Mask ritual originated. I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Glycerin, Irish Moss Powder, Adenosine, Carob Gum, Green Algae Extract, Niacinamide, Pentavitin, and Tremella Fuciformis Extract, I thought that it had a very strange synthetic yet ever so slightly chemical Plastic scent to it that kind of reminded me of the smell of burning Plastic.
I really liked it’s size, as it came in two separate pieces which meant that I didn’t have to bunch it up around the Eye, Nose or Mouth holes like some of the other Face Masks that i’ve tried in the past.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s material, as even though it was made out of a very thick and soft jellified Rubber, I found that it had ripped quite a lot once I had eventually removed it from it’s packaging. I also didn’t really like that because it had been soaked in so much Serum, that it felt very slippery and was really difficult to apply it to my Face.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had finally removed it from it’s packaging and had smoothed it across my Face, it started to release lots of thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Facial Serum that set within a matter of seconds. I however wasn’t really a massive fan of that it didn’t really stay attached to my Face though, as I had to readjust it at least three or four times whilst I was wearing it.
I really liked it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, matte and intensely moisturised, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant and really hydrated for hours after I had used it.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a really thick and secure Plastic Pouch that meant that as well as keeping the Mask really fresh, also meant that none of it’s Serum leaked anywhere.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Simple Water Boost 5 Minute Reset Hydrogel Sheet Mask an eight out of ten. I really liked it’s size, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange synthetic yet ever so slightly chemical Plastic scent, it’s material or that I had to readjust it so many times whilst I was using it..
