The Structure Of Good Hair | STRUCTURE Shaper Light Creamy Paste

When I do actually style my hair, I tend to get a bit bored of it during the day . That’s why when the guys over at STRUCTURE very kindly asked me if I would like to try out their Shaper Light Creamy Paste, I of course said yes. Well i’ve been styling my hair with it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

What Structure say about themselves.

Here’s what STRUCTURE say about the Shaper Light Creamy Paste.

A tad commitment shy? This light creamy paste adds texture, definition, natural finish an medium hold without sacrificing style flexibility. Changing your look during the day has never been this easy!

This is ideal for anyone who prefers their hair to feel like there is nothing in it, and works best on fine to medium hair.

To use this, emulsify a small amount into your hands and work through dry hair. Or for more definition and less frizz, use on damp hair.

It’s scent.

This smelt incredibly high end, and really reminded me of a men’s cologne that I had smelt somewhere before. I can’t quite remember what fragrance it was, but i’m convinced that i’ve smelt it somewhere before. Whatever it reminded me of, it smelt fantastic, and had quite an oceanic scent to it with just a slight hint of Musk thrown in.

It’s consistency.

With it being called a paste, I was kind of expecting it to have quite a thick consistency, and even though this was still on the thick side, this had more of a jelly like consistency to it, which made it really easy to get out of the tub and use in both my hands and hair.

The feeling that it left in my hair.

It said that you weren’t supposed to feel this in your hair, which was true, I didn’t feel anything in my hair after a couple of minutes of using it, but when I had first applied it, I could tell that it was in my hair. It was nothing like the feeling of when I first apply other hair products though, and as I said, after a minute or two of it being in my hair, it disappeared, and I really couldn’t tell that there was anything in there.

Another thing that I really liked about this, was the fact that it didn’t make my hair go all crispy like other styling products have done in the past. It did however leave my hair feeling a little on the dry side though, but I think that just added to the whole textured look I was going for when I used it.

It’s hold.

With this saying that you could remould your hair during the day, I was a little apprehensive as to whether or not it would actually hold my hair in place, especially with the unpredictable British weather, but I used this when it was both mild and absolutely chucking it down with rain, and my hair didn’t move a millimetre. My fringe did a couple of times, but that’s mainly down to the fact that I constantly play with it when i’m in awkward situations, but because I could remould it, a quick comb and my hair looked as good as when I had stepped out that morning.

It’s packaging.

I really liked the tub that this came in, as I thought that it was quite distinctive and unique, and because they had used two different textures of plastic on the tub, the lid being made from glossy plastic and the tub itself being made from matte plastic, I instantly knew what it was when I picked it up.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the STRUCTURE Shaper Light Creamy Paste, a nine out of ten. I loved everything about this, from it’s scent, to it’s consistency, and even it’s packaging. I also really liked that it didn’t make my hair feel incredibly crispy. The only thing that I didn’t like was that it did make my hair feel quite dry after I had used it, but other than that, I thought that it was fantastic, and i’ll definitely be picking up another tub once I have ran out of it.
