As you probably already know, I absolutely love discovering cool and interesting Face Masks. That’s why when I saw that Superdrug had a Skin Rescue Chocolate Orange Self-Heating Mask whilst I was out shopping the other week, I obviously had to give it a go. Well I finally used it the other day, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.
Here’s what Superdrug say about their Skin Rescue Chocolate Orange Self-Heating Mask.
Deliciously tempting, our Superdrug Skin Rescue Chocolate Orange Self-Heating Mask contains a luxurious infusion of Dark Chocolate and tangy Orange Oil to moisturise and nourish your Skin. Enriched with Mediterranean Clay, the Mask instantly warms up upon application to help open pores and deeply purify your Skin from Dirt, Oil and Impurities for a glowing complexion.
I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Kaolin, Orange Oil, and Cocoa Butter, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and fruity Chocolate Orange scent to it that kind of reminded me of a Terry’s Chocolate Orange.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Face Mask, I thought that it felt extremely thick and gloopy, and was more like a thick and gloopy paste rather than a thick and creamy Face Mask.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from a thick and gloopy Paste into a thick and creamy Face Mask that set within a matter of seconds. I also really liked that it heated up, as after I had finished massaging it into my Skin, it slowly started to warm up until it made my Face feel like I had been sat in front of a Fire for a couple of minutes.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, moisturised, squeaky clean and plump, but it also left it looking extremely radiant and glowing for a day or so after I had used it.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s packaging, as this came in a really glossy sachet that was strangely really difficult to open.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Superdrug Skin Rescue Chocolate Orange Self-Heating Mask a seven point five out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and fruity Chocolate Orange scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I unfortunately just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s strange thick and gloopy consistency or it’s weirdly hard to open packaging.
