Tea Tastes Terrific | Bird & Blend Tea Company Christmas 2018 Range

As you probably already know, I absolutely love discovering new and interesting Teas. That’s why when I had heard that Bird & Blend Tea Company had released their Christmas 2018 range, which includes Fairytale of New York, Mince Pie, Mulled Cider, and Snowball, I obviously had to hop onto their website and check everything out. Well after browsing their website for a good half an hour, I eventually picked up a tub of the Mulled Cider and a tub of the Snowball, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what Bird & Blend Tea Company say about both delicious Teas.

The Bird & Blend Tea Company Mulled Cider.

Aromatic winter spices: cinnamon, cloves and ginger are steeped with apple chunks to create this mellow and comforting hot tea toddy. Brew up a fruit infusion or use to create Mulled Cider. Serve steaming with a splash of dark rum and snuggle up on a chilly winter’s eve!

The Bird & Blend Tea Company Snowball.

The chocolatey, marshmallowy coconut goodness of a gooey Snowball is one of the best sweet treats of Christmas, and don’t forget it’s award-winning too! Our most famous Christmas tea blend scooped a Great Taste Award for its chocolate chips in plenty, coconut flakes in tons and a sprinkle of mini marshmallows to finish it off, the perfect Christmas Snowball!

It’s brewing time.

It said that you were supposed to brew this for between four and five minutes at 100ºC, but I found that brewing it for five minutes was the perfect amount of time, as whenever I brewed it for any less I thought that it tasted extremely watery and that whenever I brewed it for any longer that it tasted incredibly sour and bitter.

It’s taste.

I really liked it’s taste, as even though I was expecting it to taste incredibly fruity and boozy, I thought that it had a delicious rich and spicy yet ever so slightly sweet and fruity Apple taste to it that kind of reminded me of Apple Juice blended with Chai Tea.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a Plastic Bag inside of a massive resealable Cardboard Tub which meant that all of the Tea Leaves stayed extremely fresh and didn’t lose any of their flavour.

It’s brewing time.

It said that you were supposed to brew this for four minutes at 100ºC, but I found that brewing it for at least five minutes was the perfect amount of time, as whenever I brewed it for any less I thought that it tasted like someone had sprinkled Coconut over a cup of warm Water and that whenever I brewed it for any longer that it tasted far too much of Coconut.

It’s taste.

I really liked it’s taste, as even though i’m not really a massive fan of Coconut, I thought that it had a delicious rich and creamy sweet Coconut taste to it that kind of reminded me of really sweet Coconut Marshmallows.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a Plastic Bag inside of a massive resealable Cardboard Tub which meant that all of the Tea Leaves stayed extremely fresh and didn’t lose any of their flavour.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Bird & Blend Tea Company Mulled Cider a nine point five out of ten, and the Bird & Blend Tea Company Snowball an eight point five out of ten. I absolutely loved the Bird & Blend Tea Company Mulled Cider, as I really liked it’s brewing time, it’s delicious deep and spicy yet ever so slightly sweet and fruity Apple taste, and it’s packaging, but I would love to be able to buy it all year round instead of just at Christmas. I absolutely loved the Bird & Blend Tea Company Snowball, as I really liked it’s brewing time, it’s rich and creamy sweet Coconut Marshmallow taste, and it’s packaging, but I would have preferred it  to have tasted a little bit more like the Snowball Biscuits that I used to eat as a Child rather than Coconut Marshmallows.
