Telling A Good Story | Lush Tales Of Bath Spa Treatment

Last week I was very kindly invited down to Lush Leeds Spa, along with a few other amazing bloggers including Jamie, to come and check out their new Tales of Bath Spa Treatment. After having an absolutely brilliant evening, I thought I would tell you all about it.

After having something to eat and a general mooch around Leeds, me and Jamie headed to the beautiful and massive Lush Leeds Spa to check out all the evening had on offer. Once we had arrived, one of the wonderful staff members took our names and told us to head in. Once we got into the massive store, another staff member offered us a drink. I decided on a really nice Orange Juice, and said that we could just help ourselves to the lovely snacks that were on the table. With our drinks and snacks in hand, the really nice staff member said that we could just wander around.

After wandering around for a little, another one of the staff members asked us if we would like to go down to the Spa for a Spa Tour. Once I had made it down the spiral stairs, and had gone through a few doors we finally came into the Spa Kitchen. The Spa Kitchen is a massive room where all the treatment consultations are held. It was full of antique and vintage glasses and plates, which if broke would take them a very long time to replace, so I was being extremely careful. After the lovely manager of the Spa had told us all about some of the treatments they offered we then moved onto another room with a massive bath in the middle and another staff member, who was dressed in a set of pyjamas told us a story, this is how the Tales of Bath Spa Treatment begins. After the story has finished, you then take a long luxurious bath using a massive bath bomb that you can only get if you get the Tales of Bath Spa Treatment. While you are having your bath, you listen to specially created music and poems that help you to unwind and relax. Next we moved onto another room where we learnt about the final part of the Tales of Bath Spa Treatment, the massage, which is done on a massive table and you get one of the biggest pillows i’ve ever seen to help you get comfy on while you relax and have your massage. While you are having your massage, there is Sea Shanties playing in the background to help you relax.

Once we had all learnt about the Tales of Bath Spa Treatment, we were all treated to one of three treatments the Spa had on offer. You could either choose from a mini Sound Bath Treatment, a Comforter Oil Massage, or a Palm Reading. Jamie went for the Comforter Oil Massage as he loves the smell of Comforter, and I went for the Palm Reading as I thought it sounded really interesting.

I was guided into one of the other treatment rooms by the lovely Gemma, who gave me my Palm Reading. She explained that it wasn’t to tell the future or anything, it was just about reading my personality. She told me that i’m guarded, adventurous, hard thinking, stubborn, and a workaholic, which was actually all true, haha!

After I had finished my Palm Reading, and Jamie had finished his massage, it was time to go back upstairs. After a little more wandering around, a wonderful staff member called Beth, asked us if we were ok and if she could help. She asked if we had checked out any of the Lush Face Masks and took us over to the Face Masks area to show us a few of them. The first one she showed us was the Cosmetic Warrior, after telling us all about it and trying a little out on Jamie she moved on to the Rosy Cheeks which I found out is extremely mattifying, and as the name suggests absolutely reeks of Roses. After showing us a few of the Face Masks she asked us what else we would like to look at and we moved onto the Haircare area. She talked us through quite a lot of their Haircare which I have to say I haven’t actually tried any of yet. After showing us a few more things from the Haircare area, she said that if we needed anything to just ask.

After looking at a few more wonderful products we saw that there was an area where you could make your own Comforter Bubble Bar, so we decided to go make one too. We sat down at the little table and said hi to the lovely staff member who told me all about how they make the beautiful pink and white spiraled bubble bar. I had to mix together the two bits of white and pink crumbly mess, then roll the whole thing into a cone and then squash it to get the finished result. Let’s just say it didn’t look like it was supposed to haha, it looked more like a sausage but I had my very own Comforter.

Once we had made our Bubble Bars, we had to leave them for a little while to set so we wandered around again and talked to a few of the other bloggers who were also at the event including Katie. After a little while of chatting, the event started to come to an end so we went to get our Comforters and say our goodbyes.

As we were saying our goodbyes to all the lovely staff and Urika, Lush’s lovely PR person, we were given a massive goodie bag full of goodies including a Therapy Massage Bar, a Full of Grace Serum, a Green Bubbleroon, and a Golden Egg. After being handed our wonderful goodie bags, we had a little chat with Urika, and headed off to our train.

I had a wonderful evening and I just want to thank all the wonderful staff at Lush Leeds Spa and Urika for having us.
