Peel The Banana | The Body Shop Banana Body Care Range

Even though I absolutely love the smell of The Body Shop’s Banana Hair Care range, my Hair unfortunately isn’t a massive fan of it. That’s why when I had heard that The Body Shop had released a range of three delicious Banana smelling Body Care products, that include a Banana Shower Cream, a Banana Body Yoghurt, and a Banana Body Butter, I obviously had to pop down to my local The Body Shop store and check them out. Well after giving them all a good sniff, I eventually picked up a bottle of The Body Shop Banana Shower Cream, a tub of The Body Shop Banana Body Yoghurt, and a tub of The Body Shop Banana Body Butter, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

A tall cylindrical clear plastic bottle full of some yellow liquid with a label that has The Body Shop Banana Shower Cream written in bold black writing and some pictures of some Bananas on it, next to a short rounded square yellow tub with a black lid that has The Body Shop Banana Body Yoghurt written in bold black writing and some pictures of some Bananas on it, and a short cylindrical yellow plastic tub with a black lid that has The Body Shop Banana Body Butter written in bold black writing and some pictures of some Bananas on it, on a white background.

The Body Shop Banana Shower Cream.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Banana Puree, I thought that it had a delicious rich and creamy Banana scent to it that kind of reminded me of a really frothy Banana Milkshake.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Shower Cream, I thought that it felt really thick and balmy, and was more like a thick and balmy Body Cream rather than a thick and creamy Shower Cream.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from a thick and balmy Body Cream into a light and frothy Shower Gel that spread really easily across my Body.

It’s results.

I really liked it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, moisturised and squeaky clean, but it also left it smelling of thick and frothy creamy Banana Milkshake for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical plastic bottle with some pictures of Bananas all over it that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty shelves.

A short rounded square yellow plastic tub with a black lid that has The Body Shop Banana Body Yoghurt written in bold black writing and some pictures of some Bananas on it, on a white background.

The Body Shop Banana Body Yoghurt.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Banana Puree, Almond Milk, and Shea Butter, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly nutty Banana scent to it that kind of reminded me of Banana Bread.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Body Yoghurt, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and watery, and was more like a thin and watery Body Lotion rather than a thick and gloopy Body Yoghurt.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from a thin and watery Body Lotion into a light and creamy Body Cream that set within a matter of seconds.

It’s results.

I really liked it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, moisturised and bouncy, but it also left it smelling of delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly nutty Bananas for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

The Body Shop Banana Body Butter.

It’s scent.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Banana Puree, Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, and Sesame Seed Oil, I thought that it had a very strange musky and sour Banana scent to it that kind of reminded me of Banana Transportation Boxes.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Body Butter, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and gloopy, and was more like a thick and gloopy Body Cream rather than a thick and balmy Body Butter.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a massive cylindrical Plastic tub with some pictures of Bananas all over it that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate The Body Shop Banana Shower Cream a nine out of ten, The Body Shop Banana Body Yoghurt a nine out of ten, and The Body Shop Banana Body Butter a seven point five out of ten. I absolutely loved The Body Shop Banana Shower Cream, as I really liked it’s delicious rich and creamy Banana scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I did think that it smelt a little bit too sweet for me to be able to use it everyday. I absolutely loved The Body Shop Banana Body Yoghurt, as I really liked it’s sweet and creamy ever so slightly nutty Banana scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I did think that it had a very strange sweet undertone to it. I also absolutely loved The Body Shop Banana Body Butter, as I really liked it’s thick and gloopy consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s strange musky and sour Banana scent..
