The Prickly Scent Of Cactus Blossoms | The Body Shop Cactus Blossom Range

I absolutely love Spring, as it means that everywhere starts to release all of their new ranges for the rest of the year. That’s why when I had heard that The Body Shop had released a Cactus Blossom range, I obviously had to pop down to my local The Body Shop store and check everything out. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up a Bottle of the Cactus Blossom Shower Gel, a Tub of the Cactus Blossom Body Scrub, a Tub of the Cactus Blossom Body Yoghurt, a Tub of the Cactus Blossom Body Butter, and a Bottle of the Cactus Blossom Hand Wash, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

The Body Shop Cactus Blossom Shower Gel.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Honey, Cactus Flower Extract, and Lactic Acid, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly fruity Cactus scent to it that kind of reminded me of if they had blended their Almond Milk & Honey Shower Gel with a floral and fruity Woman’s Perfume.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Shower Gel, I thought that it felt really thin and watery, and was more like a really thin and watery Micellar Water rather than a thin and balmy Shower Gel.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from a really thin and watery Micellar Water into a thick and frothy Shower Gel that spread really easily across my Body.

It’s results.

I really liked it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, squeaky clean and hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly fruity Cactus for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Plastic Bottle with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

A short cylindrical black plastic tub with a bright pink lid that has The Body Shop written in bold black writing, Cactus Blossom Body Scrub written in dark pink writing, and some pictures of some red and yellow cactus blossoms on it, on a white background.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Body Scrub, I thought that it felt really thin and creamy yet ever so slightly gritty, and was more like a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly gritty Body Lotion rather than a thick and gloopy yet harsh Body Scrub.

What it did when I used it.

  1. Hi Luke, this is a great post. I love how you analysed the scent, consistency, impact and results. I’d definitely be trying out this range of cactus blossoms.

  2. I think the only thing I would interest is the Body Scrub but too bad it has honey in it 🙁

  3. Cactus blossoms are the best! Good review.
