Exploring An Enchanted Forest | The Body Shop Christmas 2018 Range

I absolutely love it when brands start to release their Christmas ranges as it means that Christmas is just around the corner. That’s why when I had heard that The Body Shop had released their Christmas 2018 range, I obviously had to pop down to my local The Body Shop store and check everything out. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up a bottle of the Berry Bonbon Shower Gel, a tub of the Peppermint Candy Cane Body Butter, and a tub of the Vanilla Marshmallow Hand Cream, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what The Body Shop say about all three delicious smelling products.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Cranberry Seed Oil, Honey, and Cranberry Juice, I thought that it had a delicious tart and fruity Berry scent to it that kind of reminded me of if they had blended Raspberry Jam with Cranberry Sauce.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Shower Gel, I thought that it felt really thin and watery, and was more like a thin and watery Body Oil rather than a thick and balmy Shower Gel.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from a thin and watery Body Oil into a thick and frothy Shower Gel that spread really easily across my Body.

It’s results.

I really liked it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft and moisturised, but it also left it smelling of delicious tart and fruity Berries for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Plastic Bottle with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

A short cylindrical white plastic tub with a green label that has The Body Shop Peppermint Candy Cane Body Butter written in bold black writing and some pictures of some red and white candy canes on it, on a white background.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Shea Butter, Sesame Seed Oil, Brazil Nut Oil, Soya Oil, Babassu Oil, Cocoa Beans, and Beeswax, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and creamy Minty scent to it that kind of reminded me of Mint Choc Chip Ice Cream. ,

It’s consistency.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Body Butter, I thought that it had a very thick and gloopy yet ever so slightly gritty consistency to it that kind of reminded me of a very thick and loose Body Scrub rather than a thick and heavy Body Butter.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from a very thick and gloopy yet ever so slightly gritty loose Body Scrub into an extremely thick and creamy Body Butter that spread really easily across my Body.

It’s results.

I really liked it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, moisturised and hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious sweet and creamy Mint Choc Chip Ice Cream for hours after I had used it.

It’s scent.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Vanilla Extract, Shea Butter, Soya Oil, Babassu Oil, and Sweet Almond Oil, I thought that it had a very strange sweet yet ever so slightly synthetic masculine Vanilla scent to it that kind of reminded me of if they had blended their Shea Body Butter with a lot of Vanilla Essence.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Hand Cream, I thought that it felt really thick and balmy, and was more like a thick and balmy Body Butter rather than a light and balmy Hand Cream.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from a thick and balmy Body Butter into a thin and balmy Hand Cream that spread really easily across my Hands.

It’s results.

I really liked it’s results, as not only did this leave my Hands feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth and moisturised, but it also didn’t leave them feeling greasy after I had used it.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate The Body Shop Berry Bonbon Shower Gel an eight point five out of ten, The Body Shop Peppermint Candy Cane Body Butter an eight out of ten, and The Body Shop Vanilla Marshmallow Hand Cream a six out of ten. I really liked The The Body Shop Berry Bonbon Shower Gel, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious tart and fruity Berry scent, it’s thin and watery consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I did think that it could have done with smelling a little bit more of Berries given that it was called Berry Bonbon. I really liked The Body Shop Peppermint Candy Cane Body Butter, as I absolutely loved it’s sweet and creamy minty scent, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I unfortunately just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very thick and gloopy yet ever so slightly gritty consistency. I really liked The Body Shop Vanilla Marshmallow Hand Cream, as I absolutely loved it’s thick and balmy consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I unfortunately just couldn’t stand it’s very strange sweet yet ever so slightly synthetic masculine Vanilla scent.
