I’m Dreaming OF Soft Skin This Year | The Body Shop Christmas 2019 Range

One of my favourite things about Christmas definitely has to be that The Body Shop releases all of their festive scents. That’s why when I had heard that they had released their Christmas 2019 range, I obviously had to pop down to my local The Body Shop store and check everything out. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up a Bottle of the Juicy Pear Shower Gel, a Tub of the Rich Plum Body Butter, and a Tube of the Warm Vanilla Hand Cream, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what The Body Shop say about all three delicious smelling products.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Glycerin, Pear Fruit Extract, Sucrose, and Sugar Cane Extract, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Pear scent to it that kind of reminded me of the smell of a freshly picked perfectly ripened Pear.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Shower Gel, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy, and was more like an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Hand Wash rather than a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly watery Shower Gel.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Hand Wash into a thick and frothy yet ever so slightly creamy Shower Gel that spread really easily across my Body.

It’s results.

I really liked it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious fresh and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Pear for at least an hour after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Plastic Bottle with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

A large circular dark purple plastic Tub with a white plastic lid and a bright red label that has the body shop rich plum body butter written in bold white writing and some pictures of some plums on it, on a white background.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, As even though it contained Babassu Seed Oil, Soybean Oil, Glycerin, and Plum Fruit Extract, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly sour Plum scent to it that kind of reminded me of walking past a Plum Tree during Spring.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency ,as even though it was called a Body Butter, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy Body Cream rather than a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Body Butter.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy Body Cream into a thin and creamy Body Lotion that spread really easily across my Body.

It’s results.

I really liked it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, bouncy and intensely moisturised, but it also left it smelling of delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly sour Plum for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a massive cylindrical Plastic Tub with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

A small thin conical silver plastic tube with a black lid that has the body shop warm vanilla hand cream written in bold white writing and some pictures of some vanilla pods on it, on a white background.

it’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Glycerin, Shea Butter, Soybean Oil, Babassu Seed Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, and Vanilla Fruit Extract, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly synthetic Vanilla scent to it that kind of reminded me of a Can of Glade Sheer Vanilla Blossom Air Freshener.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Hand Cream, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy ,and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Body Cream rather than a thin and creamy Hand Cream.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Body Cream into a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Hand Cream that set within a matter of seconds.

It’s results.

I really liked it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, bouncy and intensely moisturised, but it also left it smelling of delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly synthetic Vanilla for at least ten minutes after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a small and thin Plastic Tube with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate The Body Shop Juicy Pear Shower Gel an eight out of ten, The Body Shop Rich Plum Body Butter an eight out of ten, and The Body Shop Warm Vanilla Hand Cream a seven point five out of ten. I really liked The Body Shop Juicy Pear Shower Gel, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Pear scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I would have just liked it to have smelt a little bit more of Pear. I really liked The Body Shop Rich Plum Body Butter, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly sour Plum scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I did think that it’s scent would be better suited to the beginning of Spring rather than the depths of Winter. I really liked The Body Shop Warm Vanilla Hand Cream, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly synthetic Vanilla scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but as i’m not a massive fan of Vanilla I could only use it once in a while instead of multiple times a day.
