Who Knew That Ginger Could Be So Gnarly? | The Body Shop Ginger Range

I definitely think that Ginger has to be one of my favourite scents, as I love that it can be sweet, fresh, floral, deep and spicy all at the same time. That’s why when I had heard that The Body Shop had released a Ginger range, I obviously had to pop down to my local The Body Shop store and check everything out. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up a Bottle of the Ginger Shower Gel, a Tub of the Ginger Body Scrub, a Tub of the Ginger Body Yoghurt, a Tub of the Ginger Softening Body Butter, and a Bottle of the Ginger Hand Wash, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

The Body Shop Ginger Shower Gel.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Glycerin, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Ginger Root Extract, and Caramel, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly spicy Ginger scent to it that kind of reminded me of the smell of freshly baked Ginger Biscuits wafting through a Garden during Summer.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Shower Gel, I thought that it felt really thin and watery, and was more like a really thin and watery Micellar Water rather than a thick and balmy Shower Gel.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from a really thin and watery Micellar Water into a thick and frothy Shower Gel that spread really easily across my Body.

It’s results.

I really liked it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, squeaky clean and moisturised, but it also left it smelling of delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly spicy Ginger for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Plastic Bottle with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

A short cylindrical clear plastic tub full of some bright orange liquid with a black lid that has The Body Shop Ginger Body Scrub written in bold black writing on it, on a white background.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Glycerin, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Walnut Shell Powder, Ginger Root Extract ,and Caramel, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly spicy Ginger scent to it that kind of reminded me of the smell of freshly baked Ginger Biscuits wafting through a Garden during Summer..

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Body Scrub, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy Body Butter with little pieces of grit in it rather than a harsh and gritty Body Scrub.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy Body Butter with little pieces of grit in it into a thin and creamy Body Lotion with little pieces of grit in it that spread really easily across my Body.

It’s scent.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Glycerin, Shea Butter, Ginger Root Extract, and Sweet Almond Seed Extract, I thought that it had a very strange deep and sour yet ever so slightly creamy Ginger scent to it that kind of reminded me of the smell of out of date Ginger Yoghurts.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Body Yoghurt, I thought that it felt extremely thin and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy, and was more like an extremely thin and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Body Lotion rather than a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly watery Body Yoghurt.

What it did when I used it.
