Getting High On Moisturised Skin | The Body Shop Hemp Range

Because of all the cold Air during Winter and me constantly going in and out of places with Air Conditioning, my Skin has become really dry and irritated lately. That’s why when I had heard that The Body Shop had released a Hemp range that claims to soothe and intensely moisturise dry Skin, I obviously had to check it out. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up a Bottle of Hemp Hydrating & Protecting Shower Oil, a Tub of Hemp Heavy-Duty Body Moisture Protector, and a Jar of Hemp Overnight Nourishing Rescue Mask, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what The Body Shop say about all three delicious smelling products.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Soybean Oil, Hemp Seed Oil, and Castor Seed Oil, I thought that it had a delicious deep and grassy yet ever so slightly musky Black Tea scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had been growing some Black Tea in a Greenhouse.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Shower Oil, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and oily, and was more like an incredibly thick and oily Facial Serum rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly oily Shower Oil.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and oily Facial Serum into a thin and oily Shower Oil that spread really easily across my Body. I also really liked that once I had added a little bit of Water to it, that it transformed from a thin and oily Shower Oil into a thin and frothy yet ever so slightly oily Shower Milk that also spread really easily across my Body.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, soothed, bouncy and intensely moisturised, but it also left it smelling of delicious deep and grassy yet ever so slightly musky Black Tea for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Bottle with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Shea Butter, Cocoa Seed Butter, Hemp Seed Oil, Glycerin, Soybean Oil, Brazil Nut Oil, Beeswax, Olive Fruit Oil, Xanthan Gum, and Caramel, I thought that it had a delicious deep and grassy yet ever so slightly musky Black Tea scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had been growing some Black Tea in a Greenhouse.

It’s consistency.

I absolutely loved it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Moisture Protector, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and balmy yet ever so slightly creamy, and was  more like an incredibly thick and balmy yet ever so slightly creamy Body Butter rather than a thick and creamy Moisture Protector.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and balmy yet ever so slightly creamy Body Butter into a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Body Lotion that spread really easily across my Body.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Glycerin, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Hemp Seed Oil, Xanthan Gum, Aloe Vera Leaf Juice Powder, and Wakame Seaweed Extract, I thought that it had a delicious deep and grassy yet ever so slightly musky Black Tea scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had been growing some Black Tea in a Greenhouse.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called an Overnight Mask, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy Night Cream rather than a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Overnight Mask.

What it did when I used it

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy Night Cream into a thin and watery yet ever so slightly creamy Gel Cream Moisturiser that set within a matter of seconds.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, bouncy and intensely moisturised, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant and much healthier for at least an entire 24 hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a very thick Glass Jar with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate The Body Shop Hemp Hydrating & Protecting Shower Oil an eight point five out of ten, The Body Shop Hemp Heavy-Duty Body Moisture Protector an eight out of ten, and The Body Shop Hemp Overnight Nourishing Rescue Mask a nine out of ten. I really liked The Body Shop Hemp Hydrating & Protecting Shower Oil, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious deep and grassy yet ever so slightly musky Black Tea scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but with it being so oily I did find it a little bit difficult to use. I really liked The Body Shop Hemp Heavy-Duty Body Moisture Protector, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious deep and grassy yet ever so slightly musky Black Tea scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it smelt a little bit stronger. I really liked The Body Shop Hemp Overnight Nourishing Rescue Mask, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious deep and grassy yet ever so slightly musky Black Tea scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I did think that it was a little bit overpriced for what was essentially just a very moisturising Night Cream.
