Peace On Earth | The Body Shop Leeds Briggate Christmas 2017 Preview

A couple of weeks ago, both me and Jamie were very kindly invited down to The Body Shop Leeds Briggate to come and check out everything that they would have on offer this Christmas, and after having a fantastic time checking everything out, I thought that I would tell you all about it.

What happened when I visited The Body Shop Leeds Briggate.

Once we had finally arrived in Leeds, and had wandered around for a little while, we eventually headed to The Body Shop Leeds Briggate, which is located opposite Victoria Leedsin Leeds City Centre.

Once we had walked into the extremely bright and modern-looking store, we were very kindly greeted by one of their very friendly staff members, who said hi, and asked us if we were there for the Christmas Preview. We said hi back, and that yes we were, and after a second or so of her checking her guest list, she tied a piece of Pink Ribbon around our wrists, and said that we could go on through to the main store area.

Then once we had wandered around for a couple of minutes, we headed over to the Christmas area and had a little sniff of the three recently launched scents, which includes Frosted Berries, Frosted Plum, and Vanilla Chai. I wasn’t really a fan of the Vanilla Chai, as I still think that it smells like burning plastic, but I really liked both the Frosted Berries and the Frosted Plum, as I thought that they both smelt incredible.

Then once we had finished looking at all the Christmas scents, a really nice staff member announced that if anyone was wearing a Pink Ribbon, could they please follow her as we were now going to go to a secret location. The secret location actually turned out to be their meeting room above the store which they had decorated to look like a Christmas Party function room, with loads of comfy chairs, a games area, a selfie area, and even a Buffet station.

Two tall red gift boxes with a red and gold tied ribbon on the top of them sandwiched between a bright red card that has Give A Year Of Play To Refugee Children written in bright bold white writing on it on a rectangular clear glass shelf, on a bright background.

Then once everyone else had arrived and we had found ourselves a nice comfy chair, one of the really nice staff members brought the entire room to a quiet, and started to tell us all about what they would have on offer this Christmas, including the three delicious scents that we had tried earlier, some of the new make up collection, and of course the gift sets, including that the packaging of every gift set can also be turned into a game, and that for every gift set you buy, The Body Shop will donate 4.4p to the International Alerts Peace Play project, which helps Refugee Children play in a safe place for a year.

Then after she had finished talking, we wandered over to the Buffet area to get some food, and got chatting to Katie who was also there about what we thought of some of the Christmas ranges, as well as what we had all been up to lately. We also got to try out a couple of the game pieces from some of the gift sets, including a miniature spinner that I thought looked a lot like the spinner that you use when you play a game of Twister.

Then after we had finally finished chatting, and Jamie had eaten about a thousand of the delicious Sweetcorn Frittas from the Buffet table, we went over to the selfie area to have our pictures taken.

Then once we had finished having our pictures taken, it was time to head back downstairs. So after I had eventually navigated down the very steep staircase, we finally arrived back in the extremely bright and modern-looking store.

We then just wandered around for a little bit longer and checked out some more of the Christmas ranges, including some of the Body Butters, Body Scrubs, and Body Mists, before the evening started to draw to a close. So we said our thank you’s and goodbye’s to some of the really friendly staff members that we had met throughout the evening, and headed off back into Leeds to catch our Train. But before we could leave, one of the really nice staff members handed us a massive goodie bag containing a box that had a 60ml Mango Body Butter, a 60ml Nourishing Banana Shampoo, a 60ml Satsuma Shower Gel, a 60ml Mango Shower Gel, a 60ml Moringa Shower Gel, a 60ml Fuji Green Tea Shower Gel, a 50ml Frosted Berries Hand Cream, a Vanilla Chai Soap, a Mango fragranced Bath Bubble, a Moringa fragranced Bath Bubble, a 10g Gold Sparkler, and a couple of Drops of Youth samples inside it.

I had a fantastic time checking out everything that will be on offer this Christmas at The Body Shop Leeds Briggate, and if you would like to find out more about their Christmas ranges, as well as their Play For Peace campaign, then you can find them online here.

I would just like to thank The Body Shop Leeds Briggate for having both me and Jamie, and for hosting such a fantastic evening.
