Mum! You’re Totally Awesome | The Body Shop Leeds Briggate Mother’s Day Event

A couple of weeks ago, both me and Jamie were very kindly invited down to The Body Shop Leeds Briggate, to come and check out what they had on offer for Mother’s Day, and after having a fantastic time checking everything out, I thought that I would tell you all about it.

What happened when I visited The Body Shop Leeds Briggate.

Once we had walked out of Bar Soba Leeds, we started to walk down Briggate, and eventually arrived at The Body Shop Leeds Briggate, which is located opposite Victoria Leeds in Leeds City Centre.

Once we had walked into their beautiful store, we were both very kindly greeted by a really friendly staff member, who said hi, and asked us if we were ok. We both said hi back, and that we were here for the Mother’s Day event, and after a couple of seconds of her checking her guest list, she said to come on in.

After a couple of minutes of us both wandering around, another really nice staff member came over and offered us a glass of Prosecco, which we obviously accepted, and with our glasses in hand, we wandered around for a little while longer checking out things like their Almond Milk and Honey range, their Liquid Peels range, and their Expert Facial Masks range, before the store manager brought the entire store to a quiet, thanked us all for coming, and introduced a really nice woman who was there to tell us all about Perfume.

She introduced herself, and then started to tell us all about how babies relate to scents, and how certain smells can make memories come to life, before coming around with some testers of The Body Shop’s fragrances, including their White Musk Eau De Toilette which contains synthetic Musk to ensure that no animals  are harmed in it’s creation, and their recently released Bowhanti Eau De Parfum which was full of spice and strangely really reminded me of Cola.

Then once the lovely woman had finished telling us all about perfume, we just wandered around for a little while longer, and checked out a few more of their ranges including their Vitamin C range and their Tea Tree range, before eventually wandering over to the personalised Body Butter station to create our own personalised Body Butters.

The way it works is that you pick the Body Butter that you would like, for instance, Satsuma, and then choose from the onscreen options what you would like your Body Butter label to look like. With their Almond Milk and Honey range only just been launched, everyone was kindly given one of their Almond Milk and Honey Soothing and Restoring Body Butters to personalise. I then chose the You’re Awesome design with my name under it for mine, and Jamie chose the same but obviously with his name instead of mine.

I really like their Almond Milk and Honey range, as I love that it’s been specially formulated to soothe, restore, and protect dry sensitive skin and is enriched with organic Almond Milk from Spain and community trade Honey from Ethiopia, to offer up to 48 hours of intense moisture. I also really like it’s scent, as it has a gorgeous creamy scent to it that kind of reminds me of suncream and being on holiday.

After creating our very own Body Butters, we just wandered around for a little bit longer checking out a few more of their ranges, and chatting to both Lucinda and Lucy who we had met earlier in the evening, before a really nice staff member came around and asked us if we would like some of the delicious food that was on offer. I only had a Brownie as I had already eaten earlier in the evening, but it was absolutely delicious and incredibly decadent.

We then just chatted for a little while longer before the evening started to draw to a close, so I went to the till to pay for the Oils Of Life Twin-Ball Facial Massager that I had picked up earlier in the evening, which is when the lovely staff member at the till handed us a massive goodie bag to share, which contained a 30ml bottle of White Musk, a 50ml British Rose Body Butter, a 50 ml bottle of Vitamin E Moisture Cream, a 60ml bottle of Fuji Green Tea Shower Gel, a 50ml tub of Moringa Body Scrub, a 50ml tube of Shea Hand Cream, a Contour pallet, and a Poppy Red Lip pallet.

After I had paid, we decided that it was time to head off, so we said our thank you’s and goodbye’s to all of the fantastic staff, and headed off to catch our train.

I had an amazing time checking out everything that The Body Shop Leeds Briggate had on offer for Mother’s Day, including their recently launched perfumes and their Almond Milk and Honey range, and if you’re ever in Leeds, I highly recommend that you pop in and say hi.

I would just like to thank The Body Shop Leeds Briggate for having both me and Jamie, and for hosting such a fantastic event.
