Feeling Matte, Matte, Matte | The Body Shop Mint Mattifying Face Mist

With it being so incredibly hot and humid lately, i’ve been loving anything that lets me instantly cool down. That’s why when I had heard that The Body Shop had released a range of five Skin nourishing Face Mists that include Mandarin, Strawberry, Mint, Coco, and Rose, I obviously had to give one of them a go. Well after browsing their entire website for a good half an hour, I eventually picked up the Mint Mattifying Face Mist, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

A short cylindrical green plastic spray bottle with a green and white label that has The Body Shop written in bold black writing, Mint Mattifying Face Mist written in bold green writing and a picture of some leaves on it, on a white background.

Here’s what The Body Shop say about their Mint Mattifying Face Mist.

Stay in control with Mint Mattifying Face Mist. This mist leaves skin looking matte and shine-free and helps reduce the appearance of excess oil. Infused with a winning combination of mint from Nicaragua, seaweed extract from Ireland and kaolin clay from the UK, it leaves skin feeling hydrated and instantly refreshed.

  • 100% vegan.
  • Enriched with Community Trade organic aloe vera from Mexico.
  • Skin looks shine-free and feels cooled.
  • Suitable for all skin types.
  • For shiny, combination skin.
  • Dermatologically tested.
  • Non-comedogenic.
  • Make-up friendly.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Mint, Aloe Vera, Seaweed, and Kaolin Clay, I thought that it had a delicious and invigorating yet ever so slightly zingy Mint scent to it that kind of reminded me of their Virgin Mojito Shower Gel.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Face Mist, I thought that it felt incredibly light and watery, and was more like a really thin and balmy Micellar Water rather than a thin and watery Face Mist.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had given the bottle a good shake and had sprayed a little bit of it onto my Skin, it turned from a thin and balmy Micellar Water into a light and airy Face Mist that sunk into my Skin within a matter of seconds. I also really liked that once I had pressed it’s spray pump down that it released an incredibly fine yet powerful Mist that covered my entire Face within a couple of sprays.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly hydrated, refreshed, and matte for a good thirty minutes after I had used it, but it also left it looking a lot less shinier too.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a very short and stubby cylindrical spray bottle that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate The Body Shop Mint Mattifying Face Mist a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious invigorating yet ever so slightly zesty Minty scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I would have loved there to have been more of it in the bottle as I thought that 60ml just wasn’t enough.
