The Call Of The Sea | Lush Breath Of Fresh Air

Hi all my wonderful readers. I hope you’re all having a brilliant day.

I’ve been using this for a good few months now, and I thought it was about time to tell you all what I thought of it.

The product I am on about, is the Lush Breath of Fresh Air toning water.

Lush describe it as sea breeze captured in a bottle.

This is the most refreshing of all their toning waters. With mineral rich carrageenan, seaweed extract, and rose absolute, to tone and balance your skin. This is perfect to use as a spritz in the summer to cool down, or at any time of the year when you want to feel refreshed. Rose absolute will help reduce redness, while patchouli oil is cooling and astringent on the skin.

Breath of Fresh Air contains a whole host of really good ingredients that all help out your skin, including, rose water, aloe vera gel, seaweed absolute, fresh seawater, spring water, carrageenan, and lots lots more.

Breath of Fresh Air comes in one of two sizes, a small, or a large. I of course went for the large, as I had tried it out in store many times and knew that I would like it.

The bottles design is very nice. It’s a very large tall cylindrical shape with a little spray pump at the top. The spray is extremely good. It is very powerful and gives you enough toner to cover at least half of your face in one spray. I however like to drench my face in the stuff, so that didn’t really matter to me, but it’s nice to have a good spray action. the only thing I didn’t like about the bottles design was that the spray head had two holes. One on the side, where you can press and release the spray like a normal spray pump, and then for some strange reason, a hole on the top. The only reason I can think of for it to have a hole on the top is if you wanted to pour a little droplet on a cotton round, but you could just spray the cotton round, using the spray head. Because of the hole in the top, it leaks a little. Even if you leave the cap on the top, it still leaks a little, so you still end up with a little puddle of the toner in the cap.

Even though it’s called Breath of Fresh Air, it strangely smells overwhelmingly of lavender, even though there is none in there. It does have a slight seabreezey scent to it, but not much. As I said, it smells of lavender.

The results on my skin are incredible. For those who don’t know, a toner is just meant to lift and refresh your skin. It has left my skin, clearer, fresher, and most of all, less oily. It does however leave my skin feeling a little tight, but it loosens after a little while. It does take a little while to settle on my skin, but that might have something to do with the fact that I drown myself in the stuff.

Overall, I would have to mark it a seven out of ten. I love it, but it loses a few points due to the strange hole on the top of the spray head, and the fact that I was expecting a seabreezy salty at the beach smell, and I got lavender. I love what it does to my skin but I think the seaweed is drying out my skin a little so I may switch to one of the other two scents in the range. I had  never used a toner before but I will have to start using more of them.
