I’m Literally Obsessed | True Obsession Newcastle

As you probably already know, I absolutely love relaxing in a nice long and deliciously scented Bath. That’s why when the guys over at True Obsession very kindly asked me if I would like to try some of their 100% Vegan Bath & Body Care, I obviously said yes. Well they very kindly sent me one of their Herbarium Mini Sandalwood Bath Bombs, a bottle of their Citrus Wood 2 in 1 Shower Gel + Shampoo, and a bottle of their Mens Citrus Wood Aftershave Cream, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

What is True Obsession Newcastle?

True Obsession Newcastle, is a cruelty free, organic vegan Bath and Body brand that sells a wide range of Bath Bombs, Body Butters, Body Scrubs, Facial Oils, Body Sprays and much more, in Newcastle Under Lyne.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Sandalwood Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, and Avocado Oil, I thought that it had a delicious musky and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Sandalwood scent to it that kind of reminded me of the Lush Smugglers Soul Face Scrub.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had lowered it into the water, it fizzed and hissed for a minute or two before releasing streams of bright White Foam all over the surface of the Water that eventually turned my Bath a beautiful milky White colour.

It’s results.

I really liked it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft and moisturised, but it also left it smelling of delicious musky and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Sandalwood for hours after I had used it.

The True Obsession Newcastle Citrus Wood 2 in 1 Shower Gel + Shampoo.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Aloe Vera Juice, Rosemary Oil, Chamomile Oil, Arnica Oil, White Nettle Oil, Sage Oil, Scotch Pine Bud Oil, Watercress Oil, Burdock Root, Lemon Peel, and Calendula, I thought that it had a light and delicate yet ever so slightly floral Citrus scent to it that strangely kind of reminded me of The Body Shop’s British Rose Instant Glow Body Butter.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Shower Gel + Shampoo, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and watery, and was more like a thin and watery Body Oil rather than a thick and gloopy Shower Gel and Shampoo.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin or Hair, it turned from a thin and watery Body Oil into a thick and creamy Shower Gel and Shampoo that spread really easily across my Skin and Hair.

It’s results.

I really liked it’s results, as not only did this leave both my Skin and Hair feeling squeaky clean, silky soft, moisturised and bouncy, but it also left it smelling of delicious light and delicate yet ever so slightly floral citrus for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall Plastic squeezy bottle that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Aloe Vera Juice, Macadamia Nut Oil, Shea Butter, and Sunflower Seed Oil, I thought that it had a delicious light and delicate yet ever so slightly floral Citrus scent to it that strangely kind of reminded me of The Body Shop’s British Rose Instant Glow Body Butter.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called an Aftershave Cream, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy, and was more like a thick and gloopy Body Cream rather than a thin and creamy Aftershave Cream.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from a thick and creamy Body Cream into a thin and creamy Aftershave Cream that spread really easily across my Face.

It’s results.

I really liked it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, intensely moisturised and bouncy, but it also left it smelling of delicious light and delicate yet ever so slightly floral Citrus for a good couple of hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Plastic bottle with a pump lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the True Obsession Newcastle Herbarium Mini Sandalwood Bath Bomb a seven point five out of ten, the True Obsession Newcastle Citrus Wood 2 in 1 Shower Gel + Shampoo an eight out of ten, and the True Obsession Newcastle Mens Citrus Wood Aftershave Cream an eight point five out of ten. I really liked the True Obsession Newcastle Herbarium Mini Sandalwood Bath Bomb, as I absolutely loved its delicious musky and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Sandalwood scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I thought that it could have done with smelling a little bit more strongly of Sandalwood even though it was called a Mini Bath Bomb. I really liked the True Obsession Newcastle Citrus Wood 2 in 1 Shower Gel + Shampoo, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious light and delicate yet ever so slightly floral Citrus scent, it’s thin and watery consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I thought that it could have done with smelling a lot more strongly of Citrus and that it’s packaging could have done with having a clickable lid rather than a screw top one. I also really liked the True Obsession Newcastle Mens Citrus Wood Aftershave Cream, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious light and delicate yet ever so slightly floral Citrus scent, it’s thick and gloopy consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I again thought that it could have done with smelling a lot more strongly of Citrus given that it was part of their Citrus Wood range.

I was very kindly sent a True Obsession Newcastle Herbarium Mini Sandalwood Bath Bomb, a bottle of the True Obsession Newcastle Citrus Wood 2 in 1 Shower Gel + Shampoo, and a bottle of the True Obsession Newcastle Mens Citrus Wood Aftershave Cream to review, but all thoughts, opinions, and general ramblings are my own.
