I absolutely love trying out new and interesting Face Masks that sound like they’ve been whipped up in someone’s Kitchen. That’s why when I had heard that Superdrug had released a range of Kitchen inspired Face Masks that include, Coffee, Coconut, Avocado & Oat, Charcoal, Blueberry Jam, Kale and Orange Jam, I obviously had to give them a go. Well after browsing their website for a good half an hour, I eventually picked up the Superdrug Blueberry Jam Face Mask, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.
Here’s what Superdrug say about their Blueberry Jam Face Mask
Jam packed full of gooey goodness! We love Blueberry Face Masks . This jammy creation will help add a burst of juicy vibrancy to your Skincare routine.
I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Blueberries and Sugar, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and sticky Berry scent to it that kind of reminded me of The Body Shop’s Raspberry Body Butter. I did however notice that once I had massaged a little bit of it into my Skin, that it smelt a little bit more sour and actually smelt more of Blueberries the more that I used it.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s consistency, as even though it was called a face mask, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and gloopy, and was more like a runny Shower Jelly rather than a thick and creamy Face Mask.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from a thick and gloopy runny Shower Jelly into a thick and balmy Face Mask that was really easy to spread across my Face. I also really liked that it released little pieces of Sugar to give my Face a good scrubbing. But I unfortunately didn’t really like the fact that it never actually set, and that it also dripped off my Face quite a lot too.
I really liked it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft and smooth because of all the pieces of Sugar, but it also left it looking brighter and much more radiant for hours after I had used it too.
I really liked it’s packaging ,as this came in a small clear plastic tub with a clickable lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Superdrug Blueberry Jam Face Mask a seven out of ten. I really liked it’s sweet and sticky yet almost sour Blueberry scent, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s strange thick and gloopy consistency, that it never actually set, and that it also dripped off my Face quite a lot when I used it.
