We Met At A Ski Lodge | Yankee Candle Alpine Christmas Collection

Yankee Candle have recently released their Alpine Christmas collection, which includes After Sledding, Candlelit Cabin, Evergreen Mist, and Pomegranate Gin Fizz, and being the Candle addict that I am, as soon as I had heard that they had been released, I obviously had to hop on to their website and pick them all up. Well i’ve been burning them for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what Yankee Candle say about all four delicious Fragrances.

Yankee Candle After Sledding.

The scent of tempting treats, sweet Maple, baking Spices and Vanilla Bean, offers a warm welcome after a day of Winter fun. Yankee Candle After Sledding also contains top notes of Maple Toffee and Cinnamon, heart notes of Salted Caramel Brulée and Nutmeg, and base notes of Vanilla Bean and Maple Drizzle.

Candlelit Cabin.

The warm glow of candlelight welcomes you to a Winter Retreat, rustic Pine, warm Spices and earthy notes fill the Air. Yankee Candle Candlelit Cabin also contains top notes of Rhubarb, Black Pepper and Apple, heart notes of Nutmeg, Magnolia and Hazelnut, and base notes of Vetiver, Patchouli and Amber.

Evergreen Mist.

A peaceful walk through a snow-carpeted Evergreen Forest as the morning Sun creates swirls of bracing Mist. Yankee Candle Evergreen Mist also contains top notes of Douglas Fur, Orange Zest and Forest Air, heart notes of Evergreen Bark and Eucalyptus, and base notes of Balsam, Vanilla and Pine.

Pomegranate Gin Fizz.

A sparkling Holiday Drink, sweet Pomegranate mingles with fresh Citrus and Cranberry, cheers! Yankee Candle Pomegranate Gin Fizz also contains top notes of Cranberry, Sparkling Pomegranate, fresh Lime and festive Orange, heart notes of Juniper Berry, Rosemary and Gin, and base notes of Agave Syrup and Fruity Musk.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Maple Toffee, Nutmeg, and Vanilla Bean, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly burnt Caramel scent to it that kind of reminded me of the Lush Yog Nog Bath Bomb. I could definitely smell the Maple Toffee, Cinnamon, Salted Caramel Brulée, Nutmeg, and Vanilla Bean, as I thought that they were all what gave it it’s delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly burnt Caramel scent, but I couldn’t really smell any of the Maple Drizzle, as I thought that all of the other scents kind of overpowered it a little.

It’s scent throw.

I really liked it’s scent throw, as this managed to fill both my Room and the entire top floor of my House with it’s delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly burnt Caramel scent that lasted for hours even after I had blown it out.

It’s burn time.

It said that you were supposed to get up to 150 hours of burn time out of this, but as I always kept my Wick trimmed, I easily got at least 160 hours of delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly burnt Caramel scent out of it.

It’s scent.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Rhubarb, Magnolia, and Patchouli, I thought that it had an extremely deep and woody yet ever so slightly spicy masculine scent to it that kind of reminded me of the smell of burning Wood. I could definitely smell the Rhubarb, Black Peppercorn, Nutmeg, Hazelnut, Vetiver, Patchouli, and Amber, as I thought that they were all what gave it it’s extremely deep and woody yet ever so slightly spicy masculine scent, but I couldn’t really smell any of the Apple or Magnolia, as I thought that all of the other scents kind of overpowered them a little.

I really liked it’s scent throw, as this managed to fill both my Room and the entire top floor of my House with it’s extremely deep and woody yet ever so slightly spicy masculine scent that lasted for hours even after I had blown it out. I did however notice that it tended to give me a Headache whenever I burnt it for more than two or three hours at a time though.

It’s burn time.

It said that you were supposed to get up to 150 hours of burn time out of this, but as I always kept my Wick trimmed, I easily got at least 155 hours of extremely deep and woody yet ever so slightly spicy masculine scent out of it.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Forest Air, Eucalyptus, and Vanilla, I thought that it had a very light and subtile yet ever so slightly woody Pine scent to it that kind of reminded me of being sat in a Wood Cabin with the Door wide open. I could definitely smell the Douglas Fur, Forest Air, Evergreen Bark, Eucalyptus, Balsam, and Pine, as I thought that they were all what gave it it’s very light and subtile yet ever so slightly woody Pine scent, but I couldn’t really smell any of the Orange Zest or Vanilla, as I thought that all of the other scents kind of overpowered them a little.

It’s scent throw.

I was actually quite disappointed with it’s scent throw, as even though it smelt really strong in it’s Jar, it was actually incredibly subtile and was one of those scents that I only really noticed once I had gone out of and had come back into the Room again.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Cranberry, Rosemary, and Fruity Musk, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and zesty yet ever so slightly fizzy Citrus scent to it that kind of reminded me of drinking a massive Glass of Buck’s Fizz on Christmas Morning. I could definitely smell the Sparkling Pomegranate, Fresh Lime, Festive Orange, Juniper, Gin, Agave Syrup, and Fruity Musk, as I thought that they were all what gave it it’s delicious sweet and zesty yet ever so slightly fizzy citrus scent, but I couldn’t really smell any of the Cranberry or Rosemary ,as I thought that all of the other scents kind of overpowered them a little.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Yankee Candle After Sledding an eight point five out of ten, the Yankee Candle Candlelit Cabin a six point five out of ten, the Yankee Candle Evergreen Mist an eight out of ten ,and the Yankee Candle Pomegranate Gin Fizz, a nine point five out of ten. I really liked the Yankee Candle After Sledding, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly burnt Caramel scent, it’s scent throw, and it’s burn time, but I just wish that it smelt a little bit creamier. I really liked the Yankee Candle Candlelit Cabin, as I absolutely loved it’s very powerful scent throw, and it’s burn time, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very deep and woody yet ever so slightly spicy masculine scent or that it gave me a Headache whenever I burnt it. I really liked the Yankee Candle Evergreen Mist, as I absolutely loved it’s very light and subtile yet ever so slightly woody Pine scent, it’s scent throw, and it’s burn time, but I just wish that it smelt a little bit stronger when I burnt it. I really liked the Yankee Candle Pomegranate Gin Fizz, as I absolutely loved it’s sweet and zesty yet ever so slightly fizzy Citrus scent, it’s scent throw, and it’s burn time, but I really wish that it was part of their permanent collection.
