Let’s Do Brunch! | Yankee Candle Sunday Brunch Collection

Yankee Candle have recently released their Sunday Brunch collection, which includes Belgian Waffles, Sweet Morning Rose, Blushed Bouquet, and Floral Candy, and being the Candle addict that I am, as soon as I had heard that they had been released, I obviously had to hop on to their website and pick them all up. Well i’ve been burning them for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what i thought of them.

Here’s what Yankee Candle say about all four delicious fragrances.

Yankee Candle Belgian Waffles.

Light and airy, warm and golden brown. A crisp Lattice cradling melted Butter, the classic Brunch favourite… Yankee Candle Belgian Waffles also contains top notes of Toasted Pecans and Vanilla, heart notes of Waffle Batter, a dash of Cinnamon and Melted Butter, and base notes of Whipped Cream.

Yankee Candle Sweet Morning Rose.

A pretty Pink confection garnished with delicate Rose Petals, an artistic, sweet finale. Yankee Candle Sweet Morning Rose also contains top notes of Pear Blossom and Sparkling Rose Water, heart notes of Sugared Rose Petal, Lily and Ylang Ylang, and base notes of Powdery Musk and Marshmallow.

Yankee Candle Blushed Bouquet.

Welcoming Pink Peonies, Lilies and Citrus blossoms in a bespoke Bouquet that’s fit for the centre of the Table. Yankee Candle Blushed Bouquet also contains top notes of Cherry Blossoms, heart notes of Peony, Sweet Pea and Lily, and base notes of Amber.

Yankee Candle Floral Candy.

Colourful Blossoms sparkling with Sugar Crystals and delicately placed upon delicious creamy Frosting . Yankee Candle Floral Candy also contains top notes of Spun Sugar, Peach Nectar and Red Currant, heart notes of Soft Jasmine Petals, Elderflower and Pink Honeysuckle, and base notes of Sweet Viollet.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Toasted Pecans and a dash of Cinnamon, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and musky yet ever so slightly chocolatey Caramel scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you get whenever you cook Waffles. I could definitely smell the Toasted Pecans, Waffle Batter, dash of Cinnamon, and Melted Butter, as I thought they were all what gave it it’s delicious sweet and musky yet ever so slightly chocolatey Caramel scent, but I couldn’t really smell any of the Vanilla or Whipped Cream, as I thought that all of the other scents kind of overpowered them a little.

It’s scent throw.

I absolutely loved it’s scent throw, as this managed to fill both my room and the entire top floor of my House with it’s delicious sweet and musky yet ever so slightly chocolatey Caramel scent that lasted for hours even after I had blown it out.

It’s burn time.

It said that you were supposed to get up to 150 hours of burn time out of this, but as I always kept my Wick trimmed, I easily got at least 160 hours of delicious sweet and musky yet ever so slightly chocolatey Caramel scent out of it.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Pear Blossom and Marshmallow, I thought that it had an extremely sweet and floral yet ever so slightly powdery Rose scent to it that kind of reminded me of walking through a Rose Garden after it’s just rained. I could definitely smell the Sparkling Pear Blossom, Sugared Rose Petal, Lily, Ylang Ylang, and Powdery Musk, as I thought they were all what gave it it’s extremely sweet and floral yet ever so slightly powdery Rose scent, but I couldn’t really smell any of the Pear Blossom or Marshmallow, as I thought that all of the other scents kind of overpowered them a little.

It’s scent throw.

I absolutely loved it’s scent throw, as even though I thought that it smelt quite subtile and watery in it’s Jar, it actually managed to fill both my room and the entire top floor of my House with it’s extremely sweet and floral yet ever so slightly powdery Rose scent that lasted for hours after I had blown it out.

It’s burn time.

It said that you were supposed to get up to 150 hours of burn time out of this, but as I always kept my Wick trimmed, I easily got at least 155 hours of extremely sweet and floral yet ever so slightly powdery Rose scent out of it.

It’s scent.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of this one, as even though it contained Cherry Blossoms and Amber, I thought that it had a very deep and musky yet ever so slightly synthetic floral scent to it that kind of reminded me of a very cheap Woman’s Perfume. I could definitely smell the Cherry Blossoms, Peony, and Lily, as I thought they were all what gave it it’s deep and musky yet ever so slightly synthetic floral scent, but I couldn’t really smell any of the Sweet Pea or Amber, as I thought that all of the other scents kind of overpowered them a little.

It’s scent throw.

I also wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent throw, as even though it managed to fill both my room and the entire top floor of my House with it’s deep and musky yet ever so slightly synthetic floral scent, I found that it managed to give me a massive headache after about twenty or so minutes of me burning it.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Soft Jasmine Petals and Sweet Violet, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Berry scent to it that kind of reminded me of drinking a Raspberry Milkshake during Summer. I could definitely smell the Spun Sugar, Peach Nectar, Red Currant, Elderflower, and Pink Honeysuckle, as I thought they were all what gave it it’s delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Berry scent, but I couldn’t really smell any of the Sweet Jasmine Petals or Sweet Violet, as I thought that all of the other scents kind of overpowered them a little.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Yankee Candle Belgian Waffles a nine out of ten, the Yankee Candle Sweet Morning Rose a nine out of ten, the Yankee Candle Blushed Bouquet a six out of ten, and the Yankee Candle Floral Candy an eight point five out of ten. I really liked the Yankee Candle Belgian Waffles, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and musky yet ever so slightly chocolatey Caramel scent, it’s extremely powerful scent throw, and it’s burn time, but I would have loved it to have smelt a little bit more of Waffles. I really liked the Yankee Candle Sweet Morning Rose, as I absolutely loved it’s extremely sweet and floral yet ever so slightly powdery Rose scent, it’s powerful scent throw, and it’s burn time, but I would have loved it to have not smelt so incredibly sweet as it was verging on smelling synthetic. I really didn’t like the Yankee Candle Blushed Bouquet, as I really wasn’t a massive fan of it’s deep and musky floral scent, or  that it managed to give me a massive headache whenever I burnt it. I really liked the Yankee Candle Floral Candy, as I absolutely loved it’s sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Berry scent, it’s powerful scent throw, and it’s burn time, but I would have loved it to have not smelt so sweet. I really liked the collection as a whole, but with it being called the Sunday Brunch collection, I would have preferred to have seen more foody scents, like a French Toast, a Bloody Mary, or maybe even a Mimosa.
