I absolutely love experimenting with all the colours, patterns, textures, and styles that fashion has on offer, and to celebrate the release of their men’s style guide, the wonderful people over at Chums, have asked me to see if I can put together an outfit that I think represents timeless style, and I thought that I would show you what I wore.
For anyone who doesn’t know Chums, is a privately owned, independent mail order company, based in a new sixty thousand square foot unit in the Knowsley Business Park. Graham Rubin, the managing director, developed the mail order business some thirty years ago after many years experience in the manufacturing of trousers, which were supplied to the many large mail order businesses at the time. Starting by selling men’s trousers direct to the public by off the page direct response advertisements in National Newspapers and Magazines, he also eventually started to sell through a catalogue of his own using the ever increasing database of customers he had recruited. Well, over one million customers have now enjoyed buying from Chums since those early days, and the company now also stocks a wide range of men’s clothing in sizes up to 4XL, women’s clothing in sizes up to size 24, homeware, and mobility products.
Anyway that’s enough of me rambling, here’s what I wore.
I absolutely love the cut and style of this simple roll neck top, as it looks great with completely everything, and The roll neck also makes me look like I actually have a neck. I also really like the colour of this, as I think that it’s gorgeous chocolate colour brings out all of the lovely pink tones in my skin. Another thing that I like about this, is it’s material, as it’s incredibly soft and thick, but it’s still thin enough for me to layer things under it.
I don’t usually wear any kind of jewellery, let alone bracelets, but I really like the simple and masculine design of this, and I thought that it added a nice little statement to my wrist without taking away from the gorgeous colour of the top too much. I also love the texture of the Leather against my wrist, as it has little grooves running all the way around it.
Crosshatch Black Leather Belt from Burton.
I’ve had this belt for a few years now, and I love it because it pretty much goes with absolutely everything I own. I also love it’s design as I think that the silver buckle adds a really nice touch to the overall masculine look of the belt. Another thing I like about this is the texture of the leather, because even though it’s incredibly soft, I can still feel all of the grains of the leather throughout the entire length of the belt.
Burton Green Stretched Straight Chinos from Burton.
I really like the simple yet modern design of these, as they again pretty much go with everything I own. I also love the colour of these, as I think that the dark green really compliments the chocolate brown of the top. Another thing I like about these is their material, as they feel really soft and smooth when i’m wearing them.
Red Tape Black Tiffie Ankle Boots from Debenhams.
I absolutely love the simple masculine design of these, as I think that they just finish off an outfit beautifully. I also love the colour of these, as I think a good pair of black boots is essential in everyones wardrobe. Another thing i like about these is their material, as the Leather is extremely tough and rugged, which just adds to their masculine design.
There you have it, that’s what I wore. Do you think it represents a timeless look?
