Sweet, Sugar, Candy Man! | Smith & Sinclair Leeds Pop Up Store Launch with The Alchemist Trinity Leeds

A couple of weeks ago, both me and Jamie were very kindly invited down to the Smith & Sinclair pop up store in Trinity Leeds to come and celebrate their launch, and after having a fantastic time checking out all of their delicious boozy treats, I thought that I would tell you all about it.

What is Smith & Sinclair?

Smith & Sinclair, is an Alcoholic treats company that sells a wide range of delicious treats including Alcoholic Gummies, edible Fragrances, Fizz Tablets, Gift Sets, and even Drink Experiences in London. They also believe that adults should approach life with the same freedom and curiosity that they did as kids – but with a slosh of booze to fuel the adventure.

What happened when I visited the Smith & Sinclair Leeds Pop Up store.

Once we had finally arrived in Leeds, and had wandered around for a little while, we eventually headed to the Smith & Sinclair Pop Up store, which is located opposite Marks & Spencer inside Trinity Leeds on Albion Street in Leeds City Centre.
Then once we had walked into the small but spacious store, we were very kindly greeted by a really nice woman who said hi, and asked us if we were ok. We said hi back, and that yes we were, and after a couple of seconds of us all chatting and her checking her guest list, she said to go on through and that she hoped that we had a fantastic evening. We then met another really friendly woman who was part of their Press Team who told us a little bit about the company, including how they got started, the products that they offer and even about some of the ingredients that they use including that all of their Gummies are 100% Vegan.
Then once we had finally finished talking to the really nice woman from their Press Team, we just wandered around for a little while and checked out all of the product stations that were dotted around the room.

The first place that we visited was their Drinks Station, which was where they had created a make your own Bellini Station with Prosecco, different flavoured Lollies that fizzed when you added them to your Glass, and even different flavoured Boba that popped on your Tongue when you ate them. I made one with a Pineapple Lolly and Cherry Boba and Jamie made one with an Orange Lolly and Lychee Boba as we thought that they would taste really nice. I thought that they tasted delicious and were a great alternative to the standard Glass of incredibly fizzy Prosecco that you usually get at events.

The next place that we visited was their Edible Fragrances station, which can either be worn on your Skin like a traditional Fragrance can be or can be sprayed on the rim of a Glass to add an extra bit of flavour to your Drink. I thought that they sounded really cool and would be perfect to add to a Mojito or a boring old Glass of Lemonade to give it an extra bit of flavour. You could either choose between a very fresh and fruity Watermelon Citrus, a creamy Pear and Vanilla, or a floral Cherry Blossom & Mandarin.

The next place that we visited was their Alcoholic Gummies station, which was where you could either choose a premade box containing a curated selection of delicious Alcohol infused Gummies to go with your Party like their Celebration Selection or their Gin Lovers Selection, or you could create your very own box from a selection of ten different Gummies including Amaretto Sour with Plain Sugar, Mocha Espresso Martini with Coffee Sugar and Passion Fruit Mojito with Passion Fruit Sugar. I thought that they sounded delicious and would be fantastic for parties or a relaxing night in.

Then once we had finally finished checking out all of the delicious sweet treats that were on offer, not only were we kindly given a choose your own Gummies selection box and a bottle of one of their delectable Edible Fragrances, but we were also very kindly treated to a couple of tasty Cocktails at The Alchemist Trinity Leeds.
The first Drink that we tried was Their Bubble Bath, Tanqueray Gin, Aperol, Chambord, Lemon Juice, Apple Juice and Fairy Liquid. I thought that it tasted delicious, as even though i’m not a massive fan of Gin, I couldn’t really taste any of it and could just taste the fresh and fruity notes of the Lemon Juice and Fairy Liquid. I also really liked that it created it’s own little Bubbles as you drank it, which even though felt really strange on my Tongue, was the perfect finishing touch to a great Drink.
The next Drink that we tried was Their Lightbulb Moment, Tanqueray Gin, Pimms, Ginger Beer, Raspberry Juice, Lemon Juice and Mint. I didn’t really like this one as i’m not really a massive fan of Ginger Beer, and thought that it tasted incredibly sour and bitter. I did however like that it came in two Glasses though, a normal shaped one and one that looked like a Lightbulb that you had to pour into the other to create a really cool looking Drink.
Then once we had finally finished sipping our Drinks and chatting to Kayleigh, Lizi, and Jenna and her husband who were also there, we decided that it was time to head off. So we said our thank you’s and goodbye’s to the really nice woman from their Press Team who had invited us, and headed off back into Leeds to catch our Train.
I had a fantastic time checking out all of the delicious and really cool products at Smith & Sinclair, and if you would like to find out more about them, including their other locations and all of the delicious products that they have on offer, then you can find them online here.
The Smith & Sinclair Leeds pop up store is unfortunately only open until the 30th of December, so if you do want to check it out, make sure that you pop in and say hi while you still can.
I would just like to thank Smith & Sinclair for having both me and Jamie, and for hosting such a fantastic evening.
