Feeling Veri Full | Veri Peri Bradford

A little while ago, both me and Jamie were very kindly invited down to Veri Peri Bradford to come and try some of their tasty food, and after having an amazing time absolutely stuffing ourselves full of delicious food, I thought that I would tell you all about it.

What Veri Peri Bradford say about themselves.

Veri Peri Bradford, is a restaurant in Bradford, United Kingdom, that serves authentic Portuguese cuisine, including the much renowned ethnic specialities of Chicken and Beef Espetada, Cataplana and sizzling Veri Peri Steaks. You can choose between fine dining within the restaurant, as well as the takeaway or delivery options.

What happened when I visited Veri Peri Bradford?

Once we had arrived in Bradford and had walked down Broadway, we eventually arrived at Veri Peri Bradford which is located on Bank Street in Bradford City Centre.

Once we had walked into the beautiful restaurant, we were both very kindly greeted by a really friendly waiter, who said hi, and asked us if we were ok. We both said hi back and that we were here for the bloggers event, and after a second or so of him checking his list, he showed us to a really nice table that was in front of a massive window.

Then after a minute or two of us both getting comfy and talking to Sarah and her boyfriend who were sat at the table next to us, a really nice waitress came over to take our drinks order, and after a second or so of us looking at the drinks menu we both eventually ordered one of their Sunshine Mocktails, which contained a blend of Orange Juice, Pineapple Juice, and Mango Juice.

Then after a few more minutes of us both chatting, our drinks arrived, and we just sipped our drinks, chatted, and looked at the menu before the really nice waitress came back over to take our order. So after us eventually deciding what to order, we ordered Hummus and Pitta Bread, Chicken Picatta, a Lime and Coriander Value Platter with Fries and Mozzarella Sticks, a Lime and Coriander Chicken Fillet Burger with Fries and Coleslaw and a Beef Burger with Fries and Mozzarella Sticks. Then after having to move because we had ordered so much food, we just chatted for a little while before all of the food started to arrive.

What I ate at Veri Peri Bradford.

Some pale thick bright beige hummus with some green herbs and some black pitted olives inside a white small low bowl, on a dark background.

The first thing that I ate was their Hummus with Pitta Bread.

I really liked this, as the Hummus was extremely smooth and creamy whilst still having a bit of a crunch to it, and the Pitta Bread was so perfectly cooked that it was nice and crispy around the edges whilst still being soft and fluffy in the middle.

Two white sliced chicken breasts with some flecks of herbs and a golden crust on top of it on a white rectangular plate on a wood table, on a dark background.

The next thing that I ate was their Chicken Ficatta, sliced Chicken Breast coated in Egg Yolk and pan-fried in Olive Oil.

This was absolutely delicious, as both the Egg Yolk and Olive Oil gave the Chicken a nice almost Garlic taste, and the Chicken Breast itself was so succulent that it practically fell to bits on my tongue.

The next thing that I ate was their Lime and Coriander Value Platter, Chicken Picatta, one whole Chicken, two sides, and two drinks, which came with Fries and Mozzarella Sticks.

All of this was absolutely delicious, as I thought that the Lime was incredibly zesty whilst the Coriander gave the very succulent Chicken a slight spicy kick. I also thought that the Fries were gorgeous, as they were nice and crispy on the outside whilst still being fluffy in the middle, and that the Mozzarella Sticks were really crispy on the outside and incredibly gooey and stringy in the middle, but I did think that they needed a little extra seasoning.

The next thing that I ate was their Lime and Coriander Chicken Fillet Burger, which came with Fries and Coleslaw.

I absolutely loved this, as I thought that it was more like a Chicken Bun than a Burger, as the Chicken inside it was incredibly succulent and also had a really nice zesty yet zingy kick to it. The Fries were again delicious as they were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle, whilst the Coleslaw was fantastic and was as close to the traditional recipe as you can get.

The next thing that I ate was their Beef Burger, which came with Fries and Mozzarella Sticks.

I didn’t really eat any of this as it was covered in Cheese, but Jamie did say that he thought that it was really nice. He also said that he thought that the Fries were delicious as they were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle, and that he thought that the Mozzarella Sticks were again crispy on the outside and gorgeously gooey and stringy in the middle, but he did also say that he thought that they could have done with a little bit more seasoning.

After eating all of that we were both pretty full, but when the lovely waitress came over and asked us if we would like a dessert, we couldn’t resist, and ordered a Sizzling Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream to share.

The last and final thing that I ate was their Sizzling Chocolate Brownie, which came with Vanilla Ice Cream.

I loved this, as the Chocolate Brownie was absolutely jam packed full of Chocolate, and because they had brought it to the table still being cooked, it was so hot that it slightly melted the Vanilla Ice Cream that it was resting on.

Then after finally finishing everything we were both incredibly full, so we just chatted for a while before deciding that it was time to head off, so after we had said our goodbye’s and thank you’s to all of the amazing staff, we headed off back into Bradford to catch our Bus.

I had an amazing time checking out all of the delicious food at Veri Peri Bradford, and if you’re looking for great food at a fantastic price, I highly recommend that you check them out.

I would just like to say a massive thank you to Veri Peri Bradford for having both me and Jamie, and for hosting such a fantastic event.
