Allergy Season Essentials

`Hi all my wonderful readers. How are you all doing today?

Today I want to talk about something that effects me on a daily basis. Allergies!

I not only suffer from plant polen, but I also suffer from tree and grass polen, dust, wood, animal fur and strangely some chemical smells, so somedays can be a really struggle to not stop sneezing for more than five minutes.

I suffer from these allergies all year round, but in the summer is when it’s at it’s worst.

That’s why i’ve come up with a few essentials you’ll need to get through the dreaded summer allergy season.

1. Allergy Tablets.

The first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is take an allergy tablet. I’m perscribed a very high dose one by my doctor. Allergy tablets are great, they stop me from sneezing. There are many fantastic allergy tablets on the market, but please check with your doctor before taking anything as I don’t want you to have any adverse reactions.

2. A good tissue.

A good quality tissue is an absolute must, especially if you’re sneezing all day. I would recommend either the Ballsum or the Kleenex Aloe Vera tissues. The Ballsum are the softest on the planet, and the Kleenex have Aloe Vera to help sooth your sore nose. Tissues are also a must if you suffer with wattery eyes.

3. A Decent Lip Balm or Chapstick.

This is great for any sore noses. When you sneeze a lot your nose, and the skin around your nose can become dry and cracked, so a good lip balm or chapstick lets you moisturise the specific area without getting the rest of your face greesy.

4. Hydration.

When you’re sneezing all day, you can get pretty dehydrated, so drinking plenty of water helps keep you hydrated and on top of your game.

5. Sunglasses, or a good concellor.

If you’re having a particularlly hard day of eye watering, your eyes can get extremely sore and puffy. Using a pair of sunglasses or a decent concellor will help disguise those red and puffy under eyes.

6. Eye Spray.

An eye spray can also really help you if you’re having a bad eye day. The one I would recommend would have to be the Optrex Actimist. It cools your eyes and gives you a bit of releaf from itchy and sore eyes.

7. A nice quite, dark room.

Sometimes just laying down can help me. I think it’s the combination of the darkness and keeping the window closed.

8. Painkillers.

I can sometimes get really bad headaches, so a good strong painkiller is an absolute must.

Those are just some of my essentials to having an ok summer allergy season. Do you have any good ones i’ve missed out? How bad do your allergies get? Please let me know in the co,mments down below.
