Hi all my wonderful readers, how is everyone doing today?
For most, Valentines Day is traditionally celebrated with your other half. But if like me you’re on your own, Valentines Day can seem like a major drag. That’s why i’ve come up with a kind of on your own Valentines Day check list. That way, even if you are on your own, you’re still having a fantastic time.
Let’s begin.
1. Food.
Food is essential if you’re in on your own. It’s the perfect time to be naughty and treat yourself to that really fattening pizza. or that truly indulgent slice of chocolate cake you’ve been denying yourself ever since you committed yourself to losing weight at the beginning of the year.
2. Drink.
This kind of goes hand in hand with food. Whether it be something alcoholic, or something a little softer, good food, and a good drink go so well together. Like I said in last weeks post, I don’t drink, so the drink I like to make is called a Traffic Light. It’s all fruit based and it’s absolutely to die for. If you also want to make one, there’s a post all about it in my drinks section.
3. Viewing.
When you’re on your own, it’s the perfect time for you to watch your favourite film or TV show. You could like me screw all the lovey dovey films and TV shows, and opt for more crime or blood and gore based entertainment.
4. Clothes.
You can either dig out that favourite outfit that makes you feel drop dead gorgeous, or it could be those comfy pair of pyjamas you love to wear. What ever it is, throw them on and get comfy.
5 Pamper.
It’s the perfect time to give yourself a good pampering. Grab that luxurious face mask, hair mask, or mosturiser, light yourself a candle and relax.
These are just a few things i’ll definitely be doing this Friday. You could of course do what a lot of people do and stalk your ex on social media, but that’s for another post, haha.
Hopefully you found this post useful. Are you with someone this Valentines Day, or are you like me spending it alone? What are your plans? Please let me know in the comments.
