Bulldogs Have The Best Beards | Bulldog Skincare Original Beard Care Range

I recently ran out of my favourite Beard Shampoo and Beard Balm, and after someone on Twitter very kindly recommended that I check out some of the Bulldog Skincare Original Beard Care range, I thought that I would give it a go. Well after browsing their website for a good half an hour, I eventually picked up a Bottle of the Original Beard Shampoo & Conditioner, a Bottle of the Original Beard Oil, a Tub of the Original Beard Balm, and a Beard Comb, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what Bulldog Skincare say about all four amazing products.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Camelina Seed Oil, and Green Tea Leaf Extract, I thought that it had a very fresh and citrusy yet ever so slightly medicinal scent to it that kind of reminded me of if they had blended Green Te with Lemon Juice and Tea Tree Oil.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Beard Shampoo & Conditioner, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and gloopy yet ever so slightly creamy, and was more like a thick and gloopy Hair Conditioner rather than a thin and creamy Beard Shampoo & Conditioner.

what it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Beard, it turned from a thick and gloopy yet ever so slightly creamy Hair Conditioner into a thick and frothy yet ever so slightly balmy Beard Shampoo and Conditioner that spread really easily through my Beard.

It’s results.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s results, as even though it left my Beard feeling incredibly squeaky clean and the Skin underneath and around it incredibly silky soft, I also found that it left my Beard feeling quite dry and brittle after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Plastic Bottle with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves. I would have preferred it to have had a Pump Lid rather than a screw top Lid though, as getting some out of the Bottle was a little bit tricky at times.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Sunflower Seed Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Coconut Oil, Borage Seed Oil, Argan Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Camelina Seed Oil, Soybean Oil, Oakmoss Extract, Aloe Vera Leaf Extract, and Green Tea Leaf Extract, I thought that it had a very fresh and citrusy yet ever so slightly medicinal scent to it that kind of reminded me of if they had blended Lemon Juice with Lavender Oil and Tea Tree Oil.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Beard Oil, I thought that it felt really thick and balmy yet ever so slightly sticky, and was more like a thick and balmy yet ever so slightly sticky Facial Serum rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly oily Beard Oil.

what it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to rub a little bit of it between my Hands, it turned from a thick and balmy yet ever so slightly sticky Facial Serum into a thin and watery yet ever so slightly oily Beard Oil that spread really easily through my Beard.

It’s results.

I really liked it’s results, as not only did this leave my Beard and the Skin underneath and around it feeling incredibly silky soft and hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely shiny and healthier too.

It’s packaging.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s packaging, as even though it came in a small cylindrical Glass Bottle with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves, I found that it’s dropper only released a very tiny amount of Oil at a time which meant that I had to shake it quite a lot to release enough to cover my Beard.

It’s scent.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Shea Butter, Sweet Almond Oil, Camelina Seed Oil, Cocoa Butter, Green Tea Leaf Extract, and Oakmoss Extract, I thought that it had a very strange nutty yet ever so slightly medicinal scent to it that kind of reminded me of if they had soaked Cardboard in quite a lot of Tea Tree Oil.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Beard Balm, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy, and was more like a thick and creamy Day Cream rather than a thick and balmy yet ever so slightly oily Beard Balm.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Beard, it turned from a thick and creamy Day Cream into a light and creamy Beard Balm that spread really easily through my Beard.

It’s results.

I really liked it’s results, as not only did this leave my Beard feeling incredibly silky soft and moisturised, but it also left it looking really shiny and healthy and managed to keep it in place for a good couple of hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Plastic Tub with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

It’s material.

I really liked it’s material, as this was made out of a really thick piece of Peach Wood that I thought felt really light but still substantial in my Hand.

It’s size.

I really liked it’s size, as even though I thought that it was a little bit big for a Beard Comb, I really liked that it was still small enough to fit in my Pocket.

It’s results.

I really liked it’s results, as not only did this manage to leave my Beard looking incredibly smart and straight after I had used it, but it also didn’t manage to pull any of the Hairs out like some of the other Beard Combs that i’ve used in the past have done.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Bulldog Skincare Original Shampoo & Conditioner a seven point five out of ten, the Bulldog Skincare Original Beard Oil an eight point five out of ten, the Bulldog Skincare Original Beard Balm an eight out of ten, and the Bulldog Skincare Beard Comb a nine out of ten. I really liked the Bulldog Skincare Original Shampoo & Conditioner, as I absolutely loved it’s fresh and citrusy yet ever so slightly medicinal scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, and it’s packaging, but something that claims to be both a Shampoo and a Conditioner shouldn’t really leave your Hair feeling dry or brittle. I really liked the Bulldog Skincare Original Beard Oil, as I absolutely loved it’s fresh and citrusy yet ever so slightly medicinal scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I really didn’t like that  I had to shake the Bottle quite a lot to get a tiny amount of Oil out of it. I really liked the Bulldog Skincare Original Beard Balm, as I absolutely loved it’s thick and creamy consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s strange nutty and medicinal scent. I really liked the Bulldog Skincare Beard Comb, as I absolutely loved it’s light and substantial feeling material, it’s size, and it’s results, but I just wish that it had been a little bit smaller so that it didn’t take up so much room in my Pocket.
