I absolutely love discovering new and interesting Beard Care Brands, especially if they offer some kind of a Gift Set or Bundle full of their bestselling products, as it means that I can get to know why people love them so much all at the same time without spending too much Money. That’s why when the guys over at Trendhim very kindly asked me if I would like to try one of the Golden Beards Artic Beard Starter Sets that they stock, I of course said yes. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

How to use.

Shake first and then place four to fourteen  drops of Beard Oil from the Pipette in the Palm of your Hand. Rub into your Hands and massage upwards into the Beard and Skin. To finish, groom your Beard down and style as usual. Use 3-5 times per week.

The Golden Beards Artic Beard Balm.

The same successful formula as our wonderful Artic Beard Oil but in a Balm version. Maintains and keeps your Skin and Beard hydrated and stimulates the growth of your Beard.  Truly amazing results in a short period of time. Thanks to the use of our Organic Artic Beard Oil in the Beard Balm, you will get a refreshing scent in your Beard. Take a deep breath and feel the freshness from Head to Toe!

How to use.

Using the desired amount of Beard Balm, start by rubbing it between your Palms until evenly distributed. Stroke it through your Beard and use a Comb for the sculpting of your choice.

How to use.

Massage into your Beard and leave for two to three minutes before rinsing with clean, warm Water. Repeat as required.

The Golden Beards Beard Conditioner.

Our Beard Conditioner is formulated to tame fly-away Beard Hair. Original Carshalton Lavender is combined with rich nourishing Jojoba Oil to protect and strengthen with natural gloss and shine. The soothing nature of our Original Carshalton Lavender Conditioner is ideal for use after a day in the Sun and is great for all beard types, but is naturally useful on dry Beards.

The Golden Beards Artic Beard Oil.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Jojoba Seed Oil, Argan Kernel Oil, Peppermint Leaf Oil, Tea Tree Oil, and Orange Oil, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and minty yet ever so slightly medicinal Peppermint scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you walk past a Peppermint Plant after it’s just snowed on a freezing cold Winter’s Day.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Beard Oil, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and oily yet ever so slightly watery, and was more like an incredibly thin and oily yet ever so slightly watery Facial Serum rather than a thick and oily yet ever so slightly balmy Beard Oil.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Beard, it turned from an incredibly thin and oily yet ever so slightly watery Facial Serum into a thin and oily yet ever so slightly balmy Beard Oil that spread really easily through my Beard.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Beard and the Skin underneath and around it feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it looking a lot shinier, much healthier and smelling of delicious fresh and minty yet ever so slightly medicinal Peppermint for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Glass Bottle with a Rubber Pipette Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

The Golden Beards Artic Beard Balm.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Bees Wax, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Jojoba Oil, Argan Kernel Oil, Peppermint Leaf Oil, Tea Tree Oil, and Orange Oil, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and minty yet ever so slightly medicinal Peppermint scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you walk past a Peppermint Plant after it’s just snowed on a freezing cold Winter’s Day.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Beard Balm, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly waxy, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly waxy Styling Wax rather than a thick and balmy yet ever so slightly waxy Beard Balm.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had scooped some of it out of it’s Tin and had started to massage it into my Beard, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly waxy Styling Wax into a thin and oily yet ever so slightly balmy Beard Balm that spread really easily through my Beard.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Beard feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, bouncy, thicker, fuller, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it looking a lot shinier, kept it in place all day and left it smelling of delicious fresh and minty yet ever so slightly medicinal Peppermint for hours after I had used it.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Metal Tin with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

The Golden Beards Beard Wash Shampoo.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Capryl/caprylyl glucoside, Cocomidopropyl betaine, Glycerine, Lavender Herb Oil, Xanthan gum, Phenoxyethanol , Hydrolysed wheat protein , Aloe vera leaf powder, Sodium benzoate, and Potassium sorbate1, I thought that it had a delicious deep and medicinal yet ever so slightly herbal Lavender scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you open a massive Bottle of Lavender Essential Oil.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Beard Shampoo, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous, and was more like an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Shower Gel rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Beard Shampoo.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Beard, it turned from an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Shower Gel into a thick and frothy yet ever so slightly creamy Beard Shampoo that spread really easily through my Beard.

It’s results.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s results, as even though this left my Beard feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, it unfortunately also managed to irritate my Beard so much that it took three washes with my usual Beard Wash to stop the itching and burning sensation.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Plastic Bottle with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

The Golden Beards Beard Conditioner.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Cetyl alcohol, Cetearyl alcohol, Stearalkonium chloride, Peg-20 stearate, Glycerine, , Lavender herb oil, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Geraniol, Linalool, and Limonene, I thought that it had a delicious deep and medicinal yet ever so slightly herbal Lavender scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you open a massive Bottle of Lavender Essential Oil.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Beard Conditioner, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Body Lotion rather than a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly watery Beard Conditioner.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Beard, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Body Lotion into a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly frothy Beard Conditioner that spread really easily through my Beard.

It’s results.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s results, as even though this left my Beard feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, it unfortunately also managed to irritate my Beard so much that it took three washes with my usual Beard Shampoo to stop the itching and burning sensation.

It’s material.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s material, as even though it was made from 100% Pear Tree Wood and Boar Bristles, I thought that it’s Handle felt really thick, smooth and very substantial, and that it’s Boar Bristles felt extremely rough and scratchy.

It’s size.

I absolutely loved it’s size, as even though I thought that it was a little bit on the small side when I first used it, I loved how small and compact it was as I was able to get into all of the nooks and crannies of my Beard really easily.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Beard feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth and tangle free, but it also left it looking really tamed, thicker and fuller for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a small rectangular Cardboard Box that was perfect for keeping it in when I wasn’t using it.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Golden Beards Artic Beard Oil a nine out of ten, the Golden Beards Artic Beard Balm an eight out of ten, Golden Beards Beard Wash Shampoo a five out of ten, the Golden Beards Beard Conditioner a five out of ten, and the Golden Beards Travel Beard Brush a six point five out of ten. I really liked the Golden Beards Artic Beard Oil, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and minty yet ever so slightly medicinal Peppermint scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had smelt a little bit more of Tea Tree. I really liked the Golden Beards Artic Beard Balm, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and minty yet ever so slightly medicinal Peppermint scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had smelt a little bit more of Peppermint and Tea Tree. I really liked the Golden Beards Beard Wash Shampoo, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious deep and medicinal yet ever so slightly herbal Lavender scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of the fact that it managed to irritate my Beard so much.
